Pool Maintenance - Pacer will come out and maintenance your pool 2 times a week, once a week, 2 times a month, or once a month. Service includes vacuuming, brushing & skimming, testing the pool water, and adding chemicals. Going on vacation? Having a party? Pacer will come out and maintenance the pool for you while you're away or if you need to check it off your to do list!

Critical: Professionalism More interested in their bottom dollar than excellent customer service. When challenged they will drop you as a customer over resolving the issue. Sign up for biweekly service and come whenever they want. including five days a part. The person cleaning the pool was extremely rude and was more interested in milking the clock.

I have used Pacer over the years, but this year was the worst. They were totally disorganized in setting up the appt. to open my pool. The guys just showed up! I didn't have the DE I use out so they used the wrong DE because they came when I wasn't notified. And their senior guy told me they were managed poorly. Then they had inexperienced person who left a valve open and the pool leaked out for a few days.
They came back and found the problem they created. I asked for a credit for the return trip since there was so much done wrong. They gave me a small credit but now refuse to close my pool because I had an issue. I'm sure they have treated other folks badly. I will definitely never contract with them again.

Ever since I switched getting my pool chemicals from Pacer, my pool has been 10x cleaner & more enjoyable. They know exactly what you pool needs and give great advice/tips to maintain your pool. Few years ago, pool was always cloudy and dirty no matter how often I vacuumed. They recommended new filter grids, and pool was changed literally overnight. Always honest with what you need, and when to apply it. Will always go here for my pool needs.

Obviously, Pacer Pools would not have been able to stay in business for so many years they have if they did not do an adequate job for their customers. But this customer, over many years, has experienced extremely poor service, over and over again. That's not to say they never perform well. They do. But overall, they get a D-minus in service. Some years ago, my pool cover began to deteriorate.
I went to Pacer Pools and asked them to give me some info and estimate on a new pool cover. They said they would. They never did. In addition, I wrote my request on work orders for opening and closing my pool, and they still completely ignored me. Finally, I purchased a pool cover from Aqua Authority instead, because Pacer Pools would not give me the time of day.
This is horrible service. This season (2018) I had an issue with my pool light. I went to Pacer and asked that they come out to look at it and service it. I did this twice, and they said they would call me. They never did. Pacer sends a work order out for customers to fill out to open and close their pools. I have used this work order many times and usually it works fine.
But not always. This year is the second time I have requested my pool-closing and never heard back from them. When I called Mary on a Saturday to inquire as to why, after I faxed the work-order a month previous, and had heard nothing, she did not return my call. I called again and spoke to her, and she told me she would call me back that day. As I write this three days later, she still has not called back.
This is typical of Pacer Pools. I really did not expect a call back. Their service is unreliable. I write this in September and need my pool closed soon. I asked Pacer to close it this week via their own work order they sent me, and they ignored it, and now ignore my calls. Obviously, I will need to have my pool closed by someone else, as Pacer is so unreliable. Years ago, they turned down my business on a pool cleaner as well.
That's a story for another day. As a business owner myself, I do not understand how they can ignore customers in this fashion. Apparently, they have a strong original customer base and care little about those who have come later. I recommend Aqua Authority over Pacer Pools, 365 days a year.

Great family owned company. They open and close my pool for me & help me keep my pool water clear, clean and safe! Very nice people and friendly professional service. FYI- They really know their stuff! For example, I went away for a week in the summer and my filter stopped working : I came home to a Green Mess! I stopped by Pacer Polls and they fixed me right up.
My pool water was clear in 24 hours and my equipment was working again. UPDATE! Just bought a Polaris pool cleaner. LOVE IT! They set it up for me & had best price. Can't get that on line!

I am in the process of purchasing a home in the area and the seller made me aware that Pacer Pools had helped him maintain his pool since it was installed and he has been very pleased with their service. Instinctively, I contacted Pacer and Ali answered the phone. She was awesome to talk to! Ali was vary willing to answer all my questions and give me valuable insight into my specific pool and it's needs.
After a great talk with Ali, I find it hard to believe the negative reviews posted could have a grain of legitimacy! I look forward to maintaining my pool through Pacer Pools and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks Ali, Andy

The folks at Pacer Pool Services & Supplies are great! I bought a house with a pool and am a first time pool owner. The previous owner of the house let the water treatments get a bit behind and I had inherited an algae problem. I called Pacer and they sent a service team out the next day that took time to explain all I needed to know correct the issue and how to safely maintain my pool over summer.
Even when I asked "new guy" questions they were very nice to deal with and told me what I really needed, what was not essential, and even what was a waste of money. When I call them for service their techs are knowledgeable and polite. They always showed up when promised and their prices are very competitive from other pool supply and service companies I checked with in northern Chester County. Highly recommended based on Quality of Customer Service, Honesty, and Price.
