David E. Callahan Pool Plastering Inc. is a family owned and operated, in-ground swimming pool restoration company, established in 1980. We have provided quality pool plastering and renovation services in the tri-state area for the past 40 years.

David Callahan started David E. Callahan Pool Plastering, Inc. in 1980. He started the company with a used plaster truck he bought from the owner of the plastering company he was working for when the owner retired. He rented an old barn on Phoenixville Pike in West Chester, PA to store his plaster truck and materials.
In 2017 and prior years, David E. Callahan Pool Plastering used to create a blended plaster finish using Portland cement, marble dust aggregates, standard plaster additives, and optional quartz aggregates and / or dyes. We feel that Diamond Brite is a superior finish versus what were blending in terms of overall appearance and bonding strength.
There are numerous styles, textures and colors of tile and coping offered in the market today. With all these choices, there are thousands of combinations of tile and coping to choose from. Within those combinations, there are many cost-effective, and stylish coping and tile replacement options. A variety of upscale coping and tile choices are also available.

Extremely poor communication and unreliable service. Callahan had quoted repair work for our in-ground pool/spa at our new home. Over the past two months they continually postpone and reschedule without notice. After repeatedly attempting to contact them regarding the most recent postponement, they indicated that they are no longer able to help us.
My family will now be unable to safely use our new pool this summer since other repair companies in the area are now fully booked. If you are looking for a reliable business with professional employees, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

While initially nice, once the work was completed (and they were paid - alot) we ran into some issues which they have been unable/unwilling to resolve. Caught the owner basically lying in regard to the nature of the issue and being very dismissive. I would strongly suggest you find another company to work with. They may be fine if there are no issues afterward, but is it worth the risk? Frankly, our pool looks horrible.
