I am writing this review because my husband and I are at the end of our rope with this company. It sarted out perfectly. We have signed the contract in April 2021 and have been promised excavation at the end of the swimming season. However, after battling with Julissa for days, they were able to give us a date in December 2021. We have then discovered that we needed a dry well due to underground water. NP demanded $3,300, which we have paid. Needless to say, everything stalled during the holidays and inclement weather.
Every appointment was a fight. The only time the workers showed up on time was to collect the final payment. It is May 2022 and we are at a standstill. Everything significant has been installed, however there is dirty water in the pool, which is getting nastier every day. The grading isn't done and Julissa has told us in no uncertain terms that it cannot be done soon, as she has 8 properties on the list for grading before us.
Nobody is coming to clean the pool even though Julissa has promised that someone would. Calls and emails are barely returned. If they are, we get one sentence responses. I just need to mention that we have paid the company fully but the job is nowhere near complete. Our backyard is a disaster and we can't even make appointments with the landscaper and the sprinkler company, as we have no idea when the job would be completed.
There is no end in sight with so much stalling. Lack of communication is a huge issue. I see no reason to recommend this company. Utter disappointment! 06/22/22 A little update. We still have no pool. Concrete was supposed to be poured this week. However, no such luck. There is a leak in our $50,000 pool and now according to the brightest minds at Nicholas, the water has to be drained.
It's puzzling who will pick our water bill up. There are no promises as to when everything would be accomplished. Additionally, the installers are not sure if they found the correct point of the leak. I really doubt that we would swim this summer. Furthermore, this company lacks communication skills with customers and between departments. They keep giving us run arounds and false promises. I don't know what else to add except run away from Nicholas Pools and find another, more reputable company.

During a time where some of the largest obstacles faced small businesses, Nicholas Pools delivered an incredible hot tub to us on time despite all the supply chain challenges. There was an installation glitch, but the owner, personally came out and solved it even though the drive was over 50 miles away from their store. In addition, the pricing was very competitive and everyone loves the new hot tub! I would highly recommend Nicholas Pools to anyone in NJ. Thanks so much!

Where do I begin with this company. We signed contract with them in November 2020. Nothing was done 2021, granted we were in the middle of a pandemic, fine. They finally excavated April 2022. At the same time of excavation the pool kit was dropped off. It is 2 months later and the pool kit is just sitting there. We were emailed on May 25th that we are 7th in line for the pool installation and that it will take 1-2 weeks.
It is now week 3 from when they sent us that email and still no installation. We have our daughters college graduation scheduled for August and there is a huge hole in my backyard. I am extremely infuriated with this company and will definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

I used Nicholas Pools to have my pool constructed. I must say that I am 1,000% happy with that decision. Working with Nicholas, I found their staff to be competent and knowledgeable. When I did have issues Sotiris was quick to help and went above and beyond to ensure that I remained a happy and satisfied customer. So if you're looking to have a pool installed call Nicholas Pools. You will not be disappointed!

Nicholas Pools really pulled through for me. Despite the many supply and labor challenges today's environment brings to our construction workers, Julissa and her team got my pool installed, pool deck completed, and project inspected within four months! If you add the inclement weather that we had this winter/spring, this is really a fantastic mission they accomplished. Nicholas Pools' construction crews are knowledgeable, professional, and very talented. Julissa does a great job communicating and managing all of the elements in the construction process.
I also recommend working with Nicholas Pools' partners for your electric and mason work. Building a pool is a phased approach and these partners are with you every step of the way. They are always responsive and they do excellent work. Every inspection from the town passed with no issues and we continued to move from phase to phase seamlessly due to this professional and experienced partnership.
We just finished our pool deck and the mason did a beautiful job and in just two days of hard work. Thank you Julissa for being such a great project manager and thank you to the entire team at Nicholas Pools for a job well done! You did it, right in time for the summer!

I have been using Nicholas Pools for quite a few years on in ground pool liner replacement and safety cover and overall service. This company is very reasonable in pricing and they have always done an outstanding job for me. They are responsive, professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Nicholas pools. Also the staff, and in particular Jo Anne who I dealt with on liner sales and installation, is amazing. She even response to my emails on her days off. WOW thats so impressive. Thanks Nicholas and Jo Anne, always a pleasure doing business with you all.

Hi, I started And signed my project with Nicholas pools end of September of 2020. There were quite a few bumps along the way. I was quite frustrated at times but after it was all said and done they came through with getting my pool done in mid August. Not exactly the time I wanted but the owner even when I was at the height of my anger was always responsive and answered every text and email with kindness and respect.
I work in the construction industry and I knew that the delays were not there fault and there was shortage of labor material and other factors that were out of there hands. Once they complete the pool they sent people and fixed everything in my yard that was damaged and also took care of my neighbors lawn that was damaged during the project and made sure everything was clean and complete.
I attached a picture of the pool complete, there is still some yard work on my end that needs to be done but that will be done in time. I would definitely recommend using Nichols pools if you are interested in installing one.

My pool was dugout on 3-22-21 on 4-13-21 the pool kit got delivered and on 4-16-21 they came to partially install the pool kit, on 4-23-21 they came back to install the filter, on 4-27-21 i was told that they haven't been back to work on my pool because they were waiting on plumbing inspection which was set for 4-29-21. once inspector came I emailed them and was told that they had me on schedule for concrete collar on 5-5-21. this was a Friday I waited until Tuesday 5-11-21 and I called the town to see if my pool was on schedule for the collar inspection and they said NO So I went ahead and schedule it for that Thursday 5-13-21 with out letting nicholas pools know. once the inspector was here I emailed them the inspection sticker and asked what was next ( they never even called the town to make the appointment for inspection) on 5-14-21 i get a call telling me that the first choice i had on liner is no longer available and that we have to go with the next choice which is fine but why wait to the very last minute to order the liner that we chose 2 months ago?
I told them in a email that I can't believe they were able to build pools in 6 weeks pre-covid because I feel that they lie just to get people to sign a contract. I was told that my pool was going to be done in two months and two months later this is what my pool looks like. I am very unhappy with this since we can't even schedule anything else that we are going to need after the pool like landscape since we can't get a date on when the pool is going to be complete.
I will update this review as things get done. But right now it's disappointing. Update 5-31-21 everything is still the same no liner yet my backyard is a mess and a few unanswered emails. Very Very mad with the salesman who said the pool was going to get completely done in 8 weeks from start to finish just to get us to sign a contract. Update the liner was installed 6-15-21 today is 6-21-21 i have emailed them and called the store several times to see if they have me on schedule for the electrician with out an answer, communication is very difficult with them it seams like I have to be asking every day for an update and they just chose not to answer.
Poor customer service. Update the electrician came on 6-26-21 The electrical inspection was set for 6-28-21 And they backfilled on 6-28-21 same day of inspection! On 7-8-21 i got my orientation im going to go to the store to test the water. On 7-10-21 7-10-21 pool is completed and now im on the concrete wait list they said I'm on schedule for the week of October 11.
