Amazing experience! I recommend Just Get Wet to any of my friends and family looking to explore free diving. Great instructors who truly want to see their students have fun & learn, while keeping safety as the #1 priority. You'll learn so much in just a few days and meet some amazing people!

Took the introduction to freediving and spearfishing course over the weekend. Overall, great time. Classroom session was short and the extreme majority of the time was spent in the water. The pool session was fun with plenty of space at Plunge in Mission Beach. Day 3 was the spearfishing charter to the Coronado islands, which we got to on a very comfortable boat. Diving at the islands had exceptional visibility and we were in the water for 3+ hours. I highly recommend Just Get Wet and this course.

Here is my honest "review" of my first experience free diving and with Just Get Wet. Since day 1, everyone who worked there was so welcoming, informative, professional, and fun at the same time. When day 2 came, I definitely was nervous but looking back, I love how strategic they are about introducing you to the techniques and skills in the pool first before going into open water.

They are there for you every step of the way, and they honestly just really want you to have a really dang good time. I felt so encouraged and had so much fun that I didn't want to get out of the water. There are truly so many reasons why a person would want to learn how to free dive (overcoming a fear, picking up a hobby), but if you're considering it, please do it, and please go with Just Get Wet.

I can't imagine being in better hands. I even made friends over the weekend. While this experience made me feel so proud of myself, there's one thing I really took away from free diving- and that's learning how to become more present. You have no other option but to be present when free diving. I caught myself constantly looking toward the end of the line to see how close I am to the "end, " which is a habit I have developed in life, but I am determined to break it.

I've come so far in one weekend, and I'm for sure not letting go of free diving at this point. Thank you to all of you whom I have met so far at Just Get Wet (Roberto, David, and Nathan). See you guys again soon!

Just Get Wet is a blast and their free-diving course got me hooked! The instructor staff is made up of an awesome group of dudes who are passionate about diving and love sharing it with others. On top of that, they're professional, experienced, and all around incredible divers. Everything was safe and progressed in a way that would help even beginning divers feel comfortable pushing their limits and learning at their own pace. You should get wet.

The three day intro course was the best experience I've ever had in the ocean. Hands down. Since I was very young I've had a deep fear of swimming in open water, so I signed up for the intro to free diving course to help expand my comfort zone. I had zero experience with free diving before starting the class, so I was pretty scared, but their emphasis on safety made me feel at ease. Later, their attention to my technique helped to progress my diving ability rapidly.

By the end of the class I felt free and playful in water for the first time in my life. I can't stop telling my friends about it and everything I learned. I can't wait to continue with their other programs.

Took this class as a surfer looking to feel more comfortable in the ocean and with my breath holds - took away that and so much more. The whole crew is awesome at what they do, and they kept it relaxed while giving us some of the best instruction I could imagine. I personally had a tough time equalizing due to some ear issues I've had in the past.

My instructor, Chris, kept me positive and I made a ton of progress in a short amount of time. I feel way more comfortable and feel like I could get obsessed with another sport. So much more to freediving than I'd ever imaging. Stoked for more!

Awesome course run by chill professionals. Just Get Wet provides an environment with passionate, relaxed, and fun instructors. The courses are organized well with smooth progression. The concepts and skills of freediving are explained and demonstrated clearly for someone to move properly out of beginner status to a good knowledge base. And learning in a calm atmosphere sets you up to make improvements and that's exactly what the dudes at Just Get Wet have set up for you. Great business and solid story to reaching the success it has today

Took the level one course with Chris, Nathan and David and all I can say is what an amazing group of instructors they are. Every section from the classroom to the pool to the shallows then finally to the deep was explained well and in great detail. The last day of the course Nathan helped me work through issues I was having with my technique / equalization; he helped me reach depths I didn't know I could. Big thank you to the whole crew at Just Get Wet!

I had a great experience with Just Get Wet. I attended their Intro to Freediving and Spearfishing course, and aside from experiencing seasickness for the first time ever, I really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot from Chris. (As an aside, I'd recommend always having scopolamine on hand just in case.)

Wave 1- Intro to Freediving: This was a great course. Head instructor and owner, Chris Cheezem is a welcoming and experienced professional, both in the water and in the classroom. His assistants are also very passionate and encouraging - they have the technical skills and qualifications to be able to run a safe and successful intro course. Each of them do a good job of assessing the skill level of each student and adjust the course accordingly to help everyone reach the course objectives. Catalina specifically did a great job of balancing form critiques with positive reinforcement. There were very few grey areas in her instructions and she was quick to clarify anything if needed. Coming from a competitive swimming background - I highly respect that!
