Automatic Pool covers has truly amazing covers and the people that work there. They are the best cover company hands down. They work alongside you and have your best interest. The VP Mike Shadoan goes above and beyond for his customers and that speaks values. Brett Horsley is another key member to the team and is very respectful and knowledgeable about all the products. We love APC!

Ordered pool cover on July 14 2021 for a new pool install. The auto cover has been delayed 4 times at this point as of 9/9/21. I have had to push back landscaping, irrigation, vinyl install, and concrete over and over again. Very frustrated at this point! I am stuck with a tore up backyard for the foreseeable future. They tell me that now it will be onsite the beginning of next week. We shall see.

We have a 20 year old concrete pool and have used APC since the beginning. Three covers later, are still very pleased--very responsive, great quality and over-all excellent customer service. Just today called for issues with the cover motor (original instillation)--were out 4 hours later and replaced the motor in less than an hour. Great company to work with.

Update: I just learned APC will be coming out today to install coping! If this happens and all goes well - I'll amend my rating! My experience with APC maybe a bit different than most! Mine is pre- product installation. The Pool Installer began escavation on 6/22 and installed and back filled the pool by 7/5. I was then told APC could not deliver/install my coping until 7/19 - I'm thinking ok no problem! Called fencing company to move my fence install date!

The Friday before, received text from Pool Installer that now the date was 7/28. So I called APC to understand why and get a firm date! I was shocked that no one could give specific answers. Today is 7/26 and I just learned that my coping has been delayed! Now keep in mind my back yard is tore up, I've delayed my privacy fence installer now twice, and can't finish landscaping and APC cannot give me a firm date on when my job can be fulfilled!

As of now, still no date and it's waiting day by day - uncertainty! I understand COVID and supply and all that - but can't give a customer a firm date to plan all the other projects that depends on the coping!

Cover itself is good. The supporting equipment is terrible. DO NOT use the Keypad, I had my pool built in 2017. Actually began using it in 2018, Within a year the Keypad quit working, they were VERY good at that time in replacing it via warranty. Once again in 2021 we went on a trip everything was working great. Came home a week later and once again the Keypad is not working.

It seems like 3 or 4 keys are malfunctioning. I called and had CoverCare come, they did what was expected he was able to put a code back in and the keypad worked until the next rain. Then the same thing all over again. Well, it finally quit, so in (4) years 3 keypads. I called APC and they really could care less. I was willing to pay some, talked with the Tech gent and he would not move. Insisted it was my problem and the entire cost would be consumed by myself.

They make the keypad so the only way to get one is from them. I was fortunate I found a new keypad on EBAY purchased it, installed it and it is working. After this latest experience I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND at least getting a cover from them with the KeyPad.

Builder (BLUE HAVEN) ordered wrong size. Builder (BH) didn't prepare for cover box installation. Builder (BH) didn't prepare bonding wire for cover motor & cover lid. RESULTED IN FAILED SAFETY INSPECTION, extra labor by homeowner, and a month of delays just due to the pool cover. Clearly a lack of communication & coordination with builder job supervisor (Tom H.) and owner (Mike F.). Builder ABSENT at key events in the process: cover box install, cover install, or City inspection. Several weeks in UNSAFE CONDITION, and APC didn't see the need to tell homeowner or the builder. NO SENSE OF URGENCY TO REMEDY OR RESPECT FOR SAFETY ISSUES.

I have been the distributor for APC for about 6 years now for New Zealand and have been very impressed with all aspects of this company and how it continues to improve what I consider to already be the best auto cover on the market. The back-up the company has shown has been superb and being so far away this is especially important.

APC has excellent service, they take good care of their dealers. I want to give out a good word to Steve Whitehead my Rep that gives me great customer service when i need it, always happy to help. production is quick and so is shipping out the door.

Unfortunately they do not stand behind their product as promised. Within a few years of having it, our cover pulled completely off the rails and they wanted $200 an hour to come out an fix it. Fortunately my husband was able to fix it and it cost $15. Big difference. Several months later our handle completely broke off and to no surprise it's not covered under warranty either. Replacement handle is $356 and another $200 an hour to come repair.

When you spend that much on a product you expect it to last. I agree with the other reviews, that this company does not care about the after sale, only about the original sale. I would recommend using a different option if something is available.
