Lloyd and Linda Debnar started the Debnar's Pools, Lawn and Garden in 1983, based on the principle that pools and spas should be fun, not work. Along the way, they have been joined by their daughter, Andrea, and son-in-law, Doug, and well as many "adopted" family members. Most, recently, they have expanded and opened a second location on Shelly Drive in Indiana to complement their Route 22 Blairsville Location. This location offers all of the same great services and specials the Blairsville location does.
For over 30 years, Debnar's Pools and Spas has been installing, designing and maintaining above ground and in-ground pools in the western Pennsylvania region. We believe pools and spas should be fun, not work. Therefore, we work directly with our clients to plan and install a backyard vacation retreat.

We bought our Cub Cadet a couple of years ago, and were absolutely delighted with the fair price and the mower itself. it worked like a dream that year, with only one issue: it has two gas tanks and it would never draw gas from the second tank. Not a big deal, we could mow the yard on one tank, but wanted to have this serviced and get the 100 hour checkup done at the end of the season.
That's were things went south. We scheduled our repair/service with Debnars, and they came and picked up our mower. When it was returned, it was a MESS! Covered in mud, and had a black scrape on the side of it. I was really upset, because I clean the mower after every use. We called and complained, and were told that they tested it, and that's why it was muddy.
No explanation for the scrape. Then in using it, things didn't seem the same. First, the second tank of gas was still not working. And, now, it didn't seem to mulch anymore. At first, I thought maybe the grass was too high ( as we had to wait to get the mower), but even in subsequent cuts, the mulching feature was no longer working. I was still mad about the condition it was returned, in, and when a call was placed about the mulching aspect, they offered to service this ( not for free, I might add).
So I declined. So we just continued with it through the summer, hoping the mulching situation would resolve. For this years tune up, we called a different company. and when they arrived to pick it up, they looked and told us OUR MULCHING ATTACHMENT IS MISSING! (This is a part under the mower, so not something obvious ) it is obvious that while our mower was in for service, the mulcher was removed and never replaced.
I AM LIVID. I am hoping we can get some kind of reimbursement for this missing part. If we do, I will amend this review. Word to the wise. steer clear of Debnar for repairing your equipment.

Critical: Professionalism I bought a Stihl tree pruner which works great. I bought it using a credit card and was never informed a service fee would be added for its use. The lady who rung me up placed it inside the bag with the owners manual. I noticed the add on fee when I returned home. Very underhanded.

We took our riding lawnmower in to have it fixed and over hauled. They charged us 293.29 we brought it home and went to mow the lawn and the deck dropped and ripped up the yard. When we took it back they replaced the blades for a second time. Tried to say it was our fault and charged us an additional fee of 40.00 well that will be the last time they get our business.
Burn me once and you don't get a second chance. Will I recommend anyone to go there NO never. Shame on you! I am not arguing with you it is a flat yard and there is nothing to hit and anyone that knows us sees our yard and knows what you are saying is not true.

Purchased a spa from Andrea and very pleased with our purchase! Special thanks to Kris and his delivery crew for their hard work in setting up our hot tub! They were nice guys and very professional! Kris patiently answered our questions and helped us to understand our new spa. We are very excited with the quality of the hot tub and look forward to many years of spa enjoyment!

Bought my mower there in 2016, I would give them 5 stars for the service, just called recently to order a starting motor for my mower, wife picked it up, brought it home I realized it was not the right part, she took it back because she was working in Indiana, Doug gave her $183 back for a $228 part. He said there was a 45$ restocking fee because he gave us the wrong part.
I called him he said it's not his fault I got the wrong part, I should have been able to figure it out. I replied with so if you order a part somewhere and they give you the wrong part it's your fault then? He then hung up on me. I've never given a business a bad review but here we are. I talked to several people since I called him to see if this is normal for a restocking fee, and not one person agrees with this, he gave me the wrong part, so I have to pay extra for it. I since then got the part at fletchers in delmont and got the right part and for $88.
