A graduate of George Washington University, and a proud and active alum, Doug started working for Winker Pool Management, Inc. in 1972 as an Area Supervisor. The business, founded by his father, Dr. Lawrence Winkler in 1954 as Swimco, was the first pool management company of its kind in the country.
Winkler Pool Management offers a wide variety of swimming lessons suited to meet every skill level. All courses are taught by WPM employees and many are certified by the American Red Cross. Swimming lessons range from programs for infants and beginning swimmers to intermediate and more advanced swimmers.
Professional Pool Management is the responsibility of the daily operation of your aquatic facility in the competent hands of a company experienced in such a highly specialized field that affords minimal margin for error. First and foremost is insuring the safety of all pool patrons. Additional benefits are performing preventive maintenance on equipment and balancing water chemistry, both of which are essential in prolonging the life of the pool, which in turn, protects your investment.WPM essentially invented the concept of Professional Swimming Pool Management, and we have worked tirelessly to perfect this concept since our founding in 1954.
WPM Supervisors are the best in the industry because unlike most of our competition, our supervisor's compensation depends on how well they please you, our client (see below). We have designed our Supervisor program to facilitate the best possible customer service for you. Our Supervisors are fully certified lifeguards and pool operators for the jurisdictions in which they work.

This is the worst company in existence. My brother worked for them this past summer and the summer before and they've been nothing but a pain in the butt. This season, my brother and his fellow lifeguards didn't receive a paycheck for 7 weeks. 7 WHOLE WEEKS! IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC! And now they're all missing 10+ hours off of their last paycheck.
And when we've reached out to them they had the NERVE to call us liars and say we had no proof. My brothers employer said this verbatim. They also expect the workers to all sign their timesheets to get paid but don't encourage them to do this or ensure that they do it (they also don't tell them that if they don't do this they won't be paid, they literally are finessing money from MINORS) and then they won't pay them for the hours they signed for even if they worked them and this is illegal especially since they are W-2 workers.
I could say so much about all of the illegal things they've done it would be a book at this point. And trust if I could give no stars I would, as it actually makes me sick to my stomach to even give them one star, that's how bad they are. So yeah don't ever let your child or sibling work at a pool this company is managing and if you're planning on having them manage your pool/do maintenance, I'd highly suggest going somewhere else! Do not give this shit show your money.
