In 1986, Ed and Gail Kessler started Pooltek working out of their family home in Bethesda. Their goal was to create a pool service company that provided a higher quality of personal attention and technical knowledge, setting itself apart from the competitors and the common stereotypes associated with "Pool Guys."

Whether it's starting up the pool for the season or closing it down after the kids are back in school, Pooltek is here to answer your Seasonal Service needs. While many pool owners can handle the Summer maintenance of the pool themselves, the crucial tasks of Pool Opening and Closing are best left to professionals.
Let us handle all the work, and you just enjoy the swimming with Weekly Pool Maintenance. Each service visit includes all cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment maintenance so your pool is safe and looks great. For those pool owners that can maintain the pool themselves, but like the reassurance of a professional double checking that everything is as it should be, we also offer Tek service, every other week and monthly maintenance.

We've used Pooltek for pool opening/closing, and weekly service for several years, and they're awesome. Super-responsive, and competent. However, their work restoring our pool after a vicious storm was unbelievable. The water turned black from mulch that ran into the pool, and we had a huge family party in 3 days. Within 36 hours the pool was crystal clear, as if it never happened. Pooltek is AMAZING!

We couldn't be happier with POOLTEK and their crew! Jeff has been super patient with us and the crew just spent the last few days here resetting coping, replacing tiles and pouring a large slab of deck- all of which came out perfectly! All of the crew were clearly experienced, diligent and friendly. They also helped us with the installation of a new pool heater and some of the associated issues, also all looks great. We've been using them for a few years for open/closing, and they gave us a very competitive bid on this larger work- then followed through on it all with no delays and in just a few days time they were done. PoolTek came in to finish our pool after working with other pool builders (who all proved to be incompetent). The team at PoolTek came in with a great attitude and a fair price and got the project finished for us. They were accommodating our specific requests and requirements and we're extremely happy with the outcome. Definitely planning on using PoolTek for pool service moving forward.

Pooltek exceeded my expectations. We opted for a somewhat minimal service, but my pool was left sparkling and ready for winter. Even in October they were booked out a bit (good sign), but we had them come as soon as possible. They showed up and got right to work cleaning out the mess of old leaves we weren't able to get ourselves. The techs were professional and friendly, and offered some advice on my options. Their prices are very reasonable! Highly recommended!
