My pool was built in 1999, they built our pool 10 feet off of my neighbors fence. 4 foot of my neighbors property is in my back yard! My pool concrete is 4 inches on my neighbors property! Randy told me I had to get an electrician to move my pool panel & they would cut the concrete. What kind of mess did I create? I didn't! I paid them to do a job & they failed!
Watch those property lines if you use them! They also over sell chemicals. After my 1st year using Budd's & being charged close to $1,000.00 I switched to Anchor Pools in Blackwood! I've never been back to Budd's and never will go back

Do NOT use this company for service on your pool. We tried last year to get them to come out and fix our heater and no response ever. All season long. We left message after message and absolutely nothing. This season they finally ordered the part and came today. Would you believe they ordered the WRONG PART? NOW WE ARE BACK TO SQUARE ONE. Terrible terrible service.

Budds pools better start reading their reviews. I wish I researched more before we had them open our pool. We are first time pool owners. We paid $450 to have our pool open. We found out competitors are charging $250. What did we pay $450 for? A very poorly done cleaning of the pool cement. Jets that were put on incorrectly. We called Paul as he told us to do.
Never called us back. Finally I sent him another text two days later he calls my husband and says he will be there the next morning at 9. Never shows up or calls. We called Budds twice and they told us, oh we thought Paul took care of it. Worse customer service. Over priced. And you would be a fool to use them. I'll take your $450 dollars and do a better job.

I ordered everything to completely overhaul my filter, pump, lights you name it. Obviously covid gave us challenges with getting everything in to install. Chris Way in the instal department and service department at budds was super knowledgeable, professional and Courteous. Even though it was not his fault things were back ordered. He still called me and kept me in the loop.
Now everything is installed and working great. I even had a pool issue non related to them and he took the call on off hours to help me. I run a small business myself and customer service is key to any business. Everyone I dealt with at Budd's was great. Budds will be doing the resurfacing next year and I cant wait.

Very frustrated! We built our pool with Budds 2015.the Contruction at that time went well and we were satisfied. They sold us on a VIP maintenance package were they perform cleanings etc etc. on a weekly basis. I don't have the time or energy to write the "numerous" amount of stories that were "Fails" in my opinion.but. I will warn you.they are impossible to get on the phone a speak with a live person and they do not call back if you have any issues(and you will). Hopefully you do not experience problems.you will be left on your own.
Very frustrating. I have to be extremly upset to leave a review as its not in my nature. but enough is enough.even the managers will not call back. Stay far far away.the salesmen are great and say all the right things but the Company does not back up what you are being sold!

Negative experience with Budd's Pools. We had a pool motor installed in September 2020, by Budd's, just before closing the pool for the season. The motor would not turn on when we opened the pool this week. Called Budd's for service on Saturday 4/3 and the representative verified that the motor was under warranty. On Thursday 4/8 a technician arrived and diagnosed it as a "seized"motor.
He got it running within a few minutes and presented my wife with an invoice for $159.00, which she challenged due the age of the motor and the warranty. On 4/9 we received an email from Budd's Pools with a PAID invoice charged against the credit card we had used to pay for the motor last Fall. No one contacted us to discuss that we were going to be billed for what we thought was covered under the warranty, nor were payment options discussed.
A phone call to Budd's revealed we were charged for the service call because they didn't open our pool. On top of it all, the Service manager was very rude when I spoke with him. Would never use Budd's Pools services again, nor would I recommend them.

When no other pool company could be bothered, Budds pools came out and helped us with our pool. They fitted us for a cover, closed the pool and did a salt water conversion for us. Very happy so far with service and responsiveness. Staff working for the company have nothing but super nice and helpful! Lucky to have found them!

Had Budd's pools recommended to me for my new pool project that we are trying to start. Met with Larry almost 4 weeks ago. Had a good meeting and was looking forward to hearing back from him. I have now called 4 times trying to contact him about my quote that we had met about. Left numerous messages. Unfortunately all my calls and messages have gone unanswered.
No response and no call back. No quote. I guess they are to good or to busy to even respond to me. Hard to find good help and honest reliable people out there. Not sure how a business can conduct themselves in this way.

I chose "meh" to be 100% fair. While my mother's pool was clear, all was well with Budd's. When a storm hit in 2018, July, and her pool went green, everything went downhill. Budd's COULD NOT figure out how to solve her problem. For 13 mos they told her to run her filter 24/7, to change her filter sand, to "start over", and that they couldn't come out w/o charging the $150+ fee.
All in all, they cost her over $1000 with no change to her pool. When she said she was going to just get rid of the pool, I asked my mom's permission to try a last ditch effort. I went to another establishment and he had her pool sparkling in 3 weeks with very little cost to her. We are both so thrilled that finally, next year, she will be able to swim again.

I don't typically write reviews. I would say i've generally been happy with Budds, but if you are considering a heat pump i would recommend not doing it or doing it through a reliable company. Budds can't service it and the contractor they use "Aquacomfort" are just not helpful at all. The heater is not intuitive, doesn't work well with their system and broke after 4 years.
After a heated "discussion" with their representative, they wanted me to call Budds back. Bottom line is if your AC breaks in your Chevy, you assume that Chevy will fix it. Not the case here. Buyer beware if you are getting a heat pump

We had a pool heater installed ($5,800.00) on Wednesday May 8th and then the pool was opened on Saturday the May 11th. I paid my deposit of $50.00 to lock in the opening date. So after paying for the heater in full, im figuring Budd's would give us a discount or "throw us a bone" for the opening cost. HELL NO! They wanted the full amount of $368.00. Im a Assistant Service Manager for a New car dealership.
If a customer, a loyal customer spends that much money with me, it's a must i show appreciation by giving something. Not Budd's. If it wasn't for Barry and his wife Barb, I WOULD NEVER SPEND A PENNY WITH BUDD'S!

I was exiting route 55 exit 56B towards Delsea drive on 11/14 around 520 PM when I noticed Budd's Pool driver extremely close to me and flashing his high beams at me. I had pulled over thinking this driver was going to ask me for directions or inform me of a foreign object on my car. When I pulled over this maniac: (white male mid 50s salt and pepper hair) 1.
Almost physically hit me with his truck 2. Threatened to "kill my entire F'in family" 3. Threw an object at me All because he THOUGHT I cut him off. When, in fact, I had the right of way exiting the highway. The police were called and a voicemail has been left with the company. This is UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR from a company driver who should absolutely be fired. The police have been notified.

Spoke to salesperson about getting my gunnite pool repaired. He was very pleasant, took all my information down and committed to surveying my pool the following week. That was 4 weeks ago and despite one follow-up call -- no response. If this is the way Budd's conducts business on the front in, J want nothing to do with their execution. I recommend steering clear of this gang.

Light at the end of the tunnel! My boyfriend and I purchased a home in late 2015. The home was left unattended for many years. The pool was one huge eyesore - turned into a frog pond! After a disgraceful and unprofessional interaction with another pool company, we decided to check out Budd's who actually installed the pool originally. They have been nothing but helpful and accommodating with helping us get our pool up and running. We are happy that we have a company we can trust! Highly recommend!

These guys never hesitate to provide help over the phone, in-store, and on-site. When I had issues with dead algae re-entering the pool via our sand filter, I was so frustrated, as I thought it was silt. I called the guys up the street who had replaced our entire filter system last season and they came out, charged us $300, left no detail or invoice and never followed-up to see what results their work had produced.
After multiple calls, and finally sending someone out to physically look at the dead algae on the bottom of the pool, the service person pointed to the bottom and told my wife, "That's dead algae". This was after I had provided her with an entire printed-out PDF of pictures of everything 2 weeks prior to bring to the store to ensure they could at least provide a hypothesis - instead they sent her home with $100 worth of unnecessary phosphate control chemicals. Stick with Budd's.
