Family Pools is one big family. Not only are we a family owned and operated business but many of our staff have been with us for fifteen to twenty, some even thirty years. This kind of commitment makes our employees more than just employees. They are an extension of our great family team and respected members of our organization. Our extensive experience in the swimming pool industry has earned us a rating as one of the top 100 pool companies in the United States by Aqua Magazine. This combined experience allows us to provide our customers with a wide range of products and the highest quality of service and knowledge to suit individual needs.
Services
We employ about fifty full-time employees and a few part-timers. We could use another dozen for about six weeks each Spring and Fall but we've managed to maneuver them around to fill in all the gaps. Even with the tricky, weather dependent nature of the pool business, we have a team that puts in the extra effort when it's needed.
Service is at the heart of Family Pools, it's how we started and we take it very seriously. It was our original plan to only service pools- we had no retail store, no construction department and certainly not 5 warehouses full of parts & supplies! We were working out of our home garage with a couple of pickup trucks, some knowledge from previous jobs and some skillful hands.
We pride ourself on the quality of our construction. Our values have not changed over the past decades. We strive to build the best pool available. This attitude and dedication is what got us placed on Aqua Magazine's national Top 100 Pool Companies list. We build quality vinyl-lined and gunite pools of all shapes and sizes.

My husband and I couldn't be more thrilled with our new pool from family pools! It came out so good even with all the delays with the pandemic. Someone was in contact with us every step of the way through the process and it came out phenomenal! We're especially happy with the pavers we decided to go with, the Triad team were so professional & timely.thanks to everyone!

I have been meaning to write this review for a while, but essentially, Family Pools has been fantastic to work with! I began the process 2 years ago when Paul first came out to meet with me to talk about installing a pool. Paul has been amazing to work with-- he answered all my questions (which were a lot over the 2 years!) and always returned calls and texts promptly. Seriously, in all our work with contractors over the years, Paul was the best in terms of knowledge, patience, and timeliness.
The install was delayed due to Covid but again, the install team was great. When I had questions, Andre was patient and knowledgeable. When he couldn't answer a question over the phone he drove down here to take a look to best answer my question. I really couldn't recommend them highly enough. All this being said, I am not sure I will use them to open the pool as that part of the company has been totally different.
In the past month I have called twice and emailed twice and have not heard back from the scheduler. This being the first year we can have our pool open all Summer we are anxious to have it opened early, so I am disappointed that they can't return an email.

Opened the end of May. Nothing but trouble since and no show for appointments made. I've waited hours for no one to show up and when I've called their reply was that they weren't going to make it today. Here we are mid JULY and just now they are telling us we need a new coping and liner! This was after they replaced lines that were broken. (They have opened and closed for the last three years!)

I've had it with this company. We have had numerous issues with invoices, work not being completed and we can never get anyone to answer the phone. Always leaving messages and no one calls back. Our pool still isn't even open yet because they messed up on scheduling. Was supposed to be here this week and no one resturnibg calls to confirm they are actually coming.

So my bar has been set low due to other pool companies leaving me high and dry. That said, Family Pools is an extremely professional company. They actually communicate, show up when scheduled, did the work they agreed to do, and emailed me an invoice and follow up message the next day. I needed more work done on my pool, and they had me on the schedule two days later.
They showed up, did the additional cleaning and again left a detailed receipt and recommendations for further service. This company is top-notch, professional and worth every penny. I highly recommend them.

Let me first say that I was a customer here for 5 years without issues. We went through a pool restoration project and got estimates from family pools for about 7k which was reasonable---we chose them. When it came time to bring Family Pools into the project, they did not return calls or emails forcing us to use another pool company which pushed our project back 2 months! (This had nothing to do with the gas explosions in merrimack valley, timing was way before they happened). Their non-responsiveness caused a lot of headaches and aggravation on my end. I will never use again and have told all my friends of this issue. Beware!

Family Pools is not like the "Rest". They are honest, hard working, TRUTHFUL and an absolute dream to work with. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I interviewed 8 different pool companies when we started our project and Family Pools was like a Shining Beacon of Hope compared to the rest. Our neighborhood has about 10 pools done from different companies.
Not one was happy enough to recommend them as a good contractor. I would STRONGLY recommend Family Pools. From top to bottom, every part of the process has had amazing employees who went the extra yard in every aspect to make sure our questions/fears/concerns were addressed. Even our other contractors who have worked with other pool builders were amazed with Family Pools and their commitment to what they say.
Their employees are all long term people which obviously shows a lot about a company, especially one that is seasonal. I hope this review helps anyone undecided if Family Pools is the right choice. It's not a question. They are your right choice!
