Minella Pool Service

This company has terrible customer service and doesn't put any effort into making sure things are right before leaving your pool after opening it for the season. I gave them there deposit they came to open my pool and left, when I got home from work hours later the pool was half empty and there is a big rip in the bottom of the liner. I immediately called and the woman answering the phone tries to tell you what is wrong and that it has to be pumping somewhere and has no idea what I'm talking about when I said the water is 6 inches below the skimmer and cannot be pumping if there is no water in the motor which is screaming for hours of running while dry.

Then the owner Rick comes the next day and tells me he will give me a price for a new liner but that is it. How about my 200.00 deposit for opening the pool which his guys obviously didn't do all they did was rip my liner and left and Rick tells me no I'm not giving you your deposit because my guys were here for an hour! WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE! I wouldn't recommend them for anything! STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY IS OLNY OUT FOR THEMSELVES AND NOT THE CUSTOMER!

DO NOT USE this company, terrible service and poor customer service, now I know why they take ur money up front (325$) Had them open my pool, 2 guys show up, take cover off, due to evaporation the water was below the filter, so instead of letting us know to fill the pool up a few inches and reschedule, they vacuumed pool half way, didn't power wash around concrete like they said, left all the valves closed and left.

So after filling the pool, we called and asked for the guys to return to finish what they started, Shelly said they won't come back due to water being low, I told her the water was up and they need to finish the job. Shelly wasn't having it and kept blaming me. Now my pump isn't working, don't know if there guys prepped it correctly, so now it's up to me to finish the job. STAY AWAY there nooooo good!

Poor customer service. Once installed you'll never hear from them again.

BEWARE! Rick & Shelley are the most unprofessional business owners I have ever encountered. Not only is Shelley unresponsive, she is curt and blames lack of horrible service on the customer. When we converted our pool to salt water; paying $2,400 we asked for a quick tutorial of the new system, not only didn't Rick return to show us the new system, but his wife Shelley simply said they were very busy, but not busy enough to collect our $2,400!

We decided to break ties with this company when they claimed they did not receive our pool agreement for closure. They have been doing business with us for the last 2 years so when they closed all of our neighbors pools, a courtesy call to us would have been nice before completing skipping over our home. Your money can be better spent with a company that provides exceptional customer service! Even the pool suppliers & stores in Lehigh Valley warn against their business!

The pool company was very rude, terrible customer service! Opened up my pool never did an initial opening and said it was there son that did it so it had to be good. Even though I called to let someone know it apparently was not the next day! I ordered a new specific brand hayward pump to replace my old one which I was quoted and agreed to. However, a completely different brand of Pentair was installed and was put in backwards!

The initial pool cleaning was not satisfactory at all the debris that was left was unbelievable! The pump was also not programmed correctly and the warranty/instructions were left outside in the rain! So now I have a dirty pool, incorrect chemicals, a backward pump for $1800.00. would definitely not recommend! We have a 20*40 concrete salt water pool built in 2017 this was the first time I used this company to open our pool!

One word Amazing! look at the before and after pictures! Rick, Shelly, and their whole team are absolutely amazing. Last summer we got a tear in the liner and I patched it myself. Rick came out and said "I think with your patch you could limp it thru summer! That's when I knew I would use them the following year. Sure enough the liner tore over winter.

They came out measured gave samples and did a fantastic job. They were so patient and gave advice all along the way. Even when I was being annoying and calling them with the panicked "is it supposed to look like that?" Calls. They always called back and let me know it was okay. Ohh by the way I didn't mention the best part! They are better priced then anyone else I called! Why are you still reading this review? CALL THEM!

Rick & Shelly Karl & their employees have been nothing but responsive, prompt, courteous in keeping my pool at its optimum for the last five years. I would not look to any other company for pool opening, closing & service at all! They Are the BEST in their field as far as I can tell. They are the only Pool Team I would ever consider using. Keep up the Great Job!

Rick was able to repair the concrete coping on my pool making it as good as (almost) new! Thank you for squeezing in my little job. As a result, they will be doing my opening and closing in the future.

One star is as low as I can go. I hired this firm to open my pool and clean it biweekly. They opened the pool but did not take the care to reinstall the cover pins. This was minor, so I overlooked it. My pool pump is on a timer, so I asked if they could come in the afternoon, when the pump was on and the said that was no problem. On several occasions they came at the wrong time and could not vacuum the pool, but still charged me full price.

The left my pool gate open twice. They used up my chlorine tablets but did not tell me so that I could order more. My chlorinator was left empty and the pool developed algae. which I had to address my self. My chlorinator was leaking, but they did not inform me. The pool lost water and I had to top if off with city water (costing $). I told them I no longer wanted them to do any work for me, but they are still trying to collect $ for work not performed. Moral of the story: clean your own pool.
