We never had a pool, so we didn't want to mess around and try to maintain it ourselves. We hired Marson, because the previous owner used them. Our experience was mixed at best. On the one hand their staff is pleasant and nice, but their service was terrible. We were told that the weekly maintenance cost would be $110 provided that they didn't need to do anything beyond "normal" maintenance.
The issue was that every week there was a problem that needed to be addressed, and the weekly maintenance cost ended up being was twice as much. We don't doubt that the extra work was needed, but it took them EIGHT WEEKS to stabilize our pool. That didn't sound right. Also, a number of the problems were caused by them. For example, they never turned on the pool filter and the chlorine generation machine, so they often needed to clean and shock the pool, for which they charged extra.
Eventually Marson "fired" us for asking too many questions. Again, we've never owned a pool and we probably asked more questions than their other customers, but we explained to Marson that we needed some hand holding. With so many other pool contractors in the area you would be best served by going with someone else.
