Visited here for info and to get pool service because it wast the closest to my residence. The employee was nice, however, he provided us with some wrong info and told us we needed 1 (32qt) $59.99 shock for 20x40 pool when opening. Obviously, you need more than that that when opening a pool and you can get at least 8 gallons for that price. Besides that, he was supposed to call us back that same day or next with a date and time, the (pool guy) can come out and he never did. It's been over a week. What a waste of time, we could have went elsewhere.

I love Alpha Pools&Spas! They've served my family over 2decades. They are thorough and extremely reliable. I recommend them to EVERYONE!

I'm writing a positive review for a long-time company that has serviced my pool for over 10 years. The pandemic has caused so many companies to suffer and employee have changed over the years. That being said the family business in this case has tried very hard to keep all the pools under there care functioning when other fly-by-night pool guys have disappeared. I've had that case happen to me numerous times in the past and now I've been loyal customer to this company located in North Haledon and found them to be there for me.

I can always run over for a pool sample or get direction over email. They've replaced many of my pool filter, pumps and Polaris vacuum. They preform weekly service here and take care of me. Thank you Jack son of Russell and Liz for running the business with the same professionalism as your Dad. It's nice to talk to Mom too on the phone. Thank you for your help always and for all of us to get through these challenging days.

This is a great company. I hadn't used them for over 20 years, as I did the pool openings and closings myself. I had my heater break down and I called the company that installed it and they said they couldn't send anyone for 10 days to look at it. I called Alpa and they were there the next day and had the parts in stock to repair it. Reasonable pricing and very professional technician. They are my "go-to" pool company going forward.

I have used Alpa Pools for over 5 years and I trust them. I check my water with them every week or every other week and they always give me good advice and never try and over sell chemicals. The staff is awesome very friendly and once again they are not just looking to over sell. I would highly recommend them and have actually tested them against other larger pool supply shops and they have always been very honest. Cannot say that about the other places I tested them against.

This company provides amazing service that checks off all my boxes. It is a great family owned business (Russell and Liz) and the company itself is trustworthy and fair. My previous experiences at other vendors included overcharging bloated premiums and utilizing cheap ploys to increase profits. These guys provided me with great advice and a fair bill for renewing a beautiful pool.

I had them repair my heater to maintain the water temperature retention and some fiberglass work on my pool. Although I was very new to the repair process, the staff were super nice and understanding. They calmly and carefully walked me through their procedures and provided a toll free line for any additional questions. The staff are professional and extremely experienced.

I will definitely return if I ever experience any further pool issues. One of the best pool repair companies in all of New Jersey. TLDR: No bullshit pricing; friendly family business that is extremely experienced; great advice on pool repairs; will definitely be returning if I experience any other pool issues.

Fabulous work/Excellent Service! They replaced our liner and skimmer in our old pool in May 2020. They always answer the phone, and always show up on time for scheduled appointments! Everything they did was aligned to an emailed estimate, price is extremely competitive, and the quality of service was excellent! They measured the pool themselves and suggested what vendor to chose for the liner, and let us know exactly when the liner had been created/shipped, they even suggested a great water company to fill the pool.

They did exactly what the estimate said and at the price quoted! They are also going to doing all pool maintenance and cleaning for us. I have recommended them to everyone I know who has a pool, they really value their clients!

I think Alpa Pools does a very good job. I have had them do major work on my pool (replaster, all new plumbing and equipment), close my pool, and I also buy my chemicals there. Their water testing and analysis is very good and I've found that when I follow the program they set me up with for chemicals, my pool is always really great. And, they usually have the parts I need as well (polaris part, etc). Contrary to the below review, I've never found them to be nonchalant about the customer, and when I go there, the service is excellent. Very happy with them.

I called the company for service at my pool and never heard back. They took all my info and said would call back later that day. I always say if a company doesn't return your calls they have to be unreliable. I will find someone else that wants to take care of my pool.

I opened a claim saturday night with my warranty company, got an email saying they would call for an appointment. Monday at 920AM my wife comes home and they let themselves into my yard and were messing with my equipment. They did not call to set up an appointment. They did not know what was wrong, they just trespassed and decided to vandalize my equipment.

Watch out for these thieves. Nothing appears damaged, however i won't know until the rain stops. They called me and were adamant that what they did is how they always work and is the correct way. Given that i have had at least 6 other different services from AHS, and they all called first, i find it very hard to believe that they legitimately believe they can just waltz onto someone's property without their express consent.

Great pool maintenance company, which is rare! I had an emergency when my previous pool guy did not complete my opening a week before a huge party at my house! I wasn't a current customer, and were so empathetic with my situation. They came and completed the opening and then some. There were so many things wrong and they fixed them all! Thanks so much! They are my new pool maintenance company.

The Company is top notch, any service provider that comes out on a Friday at 6PM on a Holiday Weekend to fix my pool heater is alright by me. My regular pool guy couldn't fix it and both he and one of his crew came out two times. Russell the owner came out and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. Whatever he charges me will be just fine. Saved my holiday.

Worked with Russell, Rich and Liz to get our heater repaired through a third-party home warranty service contract; although we experienced subpar service from the warranty co. which was later corrected, and had to make several calls unrelated to Alpa, Sean was able to repair the heater - however, had to call them back due to water not retaining heat, and upon returning, they discovered that the company we used to open our pool (see review on Clearwater) never removed the winterizer plugs for the spa. Alpa did not charge for the second service, but we will no longer use any other company for our pool repairs/needs. Professional company & experienced staff - not something easily found in this line of business, but they do what they can to help. Highly recommended!

I saw a negative review and was totally surprised. These guys have been our pool company for years. They have one of best reputations in the area. They are family owned, always available, and provide excellent service. The quality of their work is excellent. For me, its about reliability and being able to trust a company. These guys have proven that over the past years.

Terrible pool opening. Caused damage and would not take responsibility. Blamed intangibles. Over priced for a below par service. Only game in town. Chemicals are double the price of other businesses. Have spoken to other customers and they will never use their services or buy product from them again. Real rip off company. If coud leave zero stars, we woud!
