Just purchased a Bullfrog A7L from Pla-Mor Pools. The complete experience was excellent, Pla-Mor were very professional, knowledgeable from arranging removal of my old hot tub, delivery, installation and balancing water chemistry for new hot tub. I highly recommend Pl-Mor Pools.

Pla-Mor pools has been so incredible throughout the entire process of us getting our inground pool's liner replaced. Whenever I had questions, they were there so quickly (Thanks Jacob!) and Ben and his crew were so nice, even when I was asking dumb questions:) Daniel also helped when we changed our sand in our filter and was so awesome. Thanks for everything Pla-Mor!

If you use Baquacil for your pool, it's the only place to go. Water testing gives you extensive Baquacil specific results. They test and advise on chlorine pools too of course, but a lot of places aren't equipped to properly test Baquacil pools, expertly advise and have all the chemicals you need. They also open and close pools and perform repairs.

They sell hot tubs, and I'm sure they do a bunch of other stuff, but I go there for my pool. Their repairs and pool opening and closing are all done right. Quality work. No shortcuts. Highly recommend.

Excellent service. Play-mor is responsive and dependable. I had an issue with a pump and they quickly resolved it without any hassle or fuss. Worth the drive to Mechanicsville even from Southside RVA.

We can't say enough about the experience we had with Pla-mor replacing our liner. They stayed with their quote and showed up before they promised and did a fantastic job! We highly recommend them!

Ida's remnants filled my pool and skimmer with leaves. I turned the pump off to remove the skimmer basket only to discover the plastic ring around the skimmer was cracked. I cleared the leaves and turned the pump back on only to hear a loud hum. It didn't work! I consulted with Jacob at Pla-Mor Pools, got the parts I needed and fixed both problems in under 15 minutes. I am back in business. Much appreciated!

Needing a new in-ground pool liner at the beginning of the pool season is never a good thing, and this year was especially tough with product delays everywhere. The staff at Pla-Mor Pools in Mechanicsville were helpful and patient right from the start of this process, from Julianne (our first wonderful and knowledgeable contact), to Kenny (who provided the quote quickly and came over to measure as soon as we made our decision), to South (who helped us order the liner we wanted), to Jacob (who answered so many questions and got us scheduled as quickly as possible), and finally to Ben and Anthony (who did the liner installation).

I was told we'd be swimming the same day our old liner was removed and the new liner was put in, and that is exactly what happened. We're very happy with the service we received from Pla-Mor Pools and we would highly recommend them for any pool needs.

I thought they were a pool place. So you would think they would have pools. They do NOT! If you want a pool from them you have to order it this year and get it next year. Really? I needed a ladder for a pool I bought elsewhere but they didn't have any ladders and they would not sell the ones on display. So if you are a pool place you would would think you would have pools and pool ladders, but that is not the case.

That is like KFC not having chicken or mash potatoes . I guess they can test your water and sell you chemicals but if you don't have a pool, you don't need that service either. So sad

Absolutely outstanding service. The front counter workers were amazing from the beginning when I walked in, directing me to the area they test water, and at the end making sure I had everything and was ready to check out. Their water testing lab was outstandingly fast and accurate. Isaiah is very knowledgeable and understanding in helping people like me who don't know what they're doing.

My pool was what I'd call an army green and he helped me turn it back that pretty blue. The chemicals are high grade and while somewhat expensive compared to other stores, completely worth it. Years past I've used other companies and never gotten my pool clear so quickly. I absolutely adore this company and won't hesitate to come back!

We have had an in ground pool in our yard since 1981. Over the past 40 years Pla-Mor Pools have been our go to pool service, and other pool needs. Need chemicals? They offer a full line of chemicals for pools and hot tubs. Need your water tested? They do it. Need a new pump or filter? They carry a full line of products. How about new toys for the summer? Yep, they have plenty to chose from.

Pool liner? Massive selection to chose from, at affordable pricing. Installed by a professional and courteous crews. 40 years of loyalty boils down to one major factor, SERVICE! Over the years problems occur when you own a pool. Pla-Mor always responded with top notch service, in as fast as 24 hours. A recent example of their service happen in the past few days when we opened our pool.

All went smoothly until I went to start the pump. It just would not prime no matter what I did. I knew that they would be busy with opening customers pools for the season. They were backed up until June. Jacob, their service supervisor, called me back later the same day, and taught me Pool Plumbing For Dummies, Part 1. There had to be air leaking in somewhere.

His suggestion to tighten all possible connections was spot on the money. Untightened and then re-tightened all possible connections, and yahoo. The pump has been running fine since. Jacob's timely phone call saved me time and money. It's been 24 hours and the the pool is vacuumed and looking great. Once again, great service from Pla-Mor Pools. This is why I will be a customer for life. Highly Recommended!

Fully stocked. We got acid for pool and a new skimmer pole. Very friendly and helpful staff. Store wasn't crowded and easy in/out. Recommend

I have had the most amazing experience with Pla Mor Pools. This company is the epitome of excellence and customer service. I have dealt with two other pool establishments but neither one of those come close to the level of customer oriented service. About a month ago we called Pla-Mor about opening our the pool for the summer. Two pool men showed up as promised. We had already removed the cover. While they were here which wasn't very long, they told me they brushed the sides of the pool because they couldn't see the bottom(?), added 64.00 in chemicals, and repaired one PVC pipe. They were here approximately 45 minutes and charged us $338.25.

They credited us $25.00 because the cover was already removed when they arrived at our home. Three days later, the pool was still green! We took a water sample to the Play-Mor store in Ashland, and we were told to. "drain the pool.!" I called Play-Mor back and was told that the men they send out are not trained in getting the pool clear, that they were only mechanics?

There was no effort on their part to attempt to rectify our problem. I felt like the $65.00 in chemicals they added was a waste of time and money, and we had already brushed the sides of the pool down. As for the balance of the charges, the only valid portion of the bill we felt was the service rendered on revolving the leaking valve. The service we received was extremely poor for a company with the reputation they claim to have.

We called another local pool company and in two days our pool was turning blue once again. I will not and do not recommend calling Play-Mor in the future, for having your pool opened for the season. We were very disappointed. I felt like we were overcharged and under-serviced! I was as much reluctant to pay the bill as I was to write this review. L Powell, Ashland, Va

My wife and I knew last summer that our pool liner would need to be replaced. We were not looking forward to doing it because it seemed overwhelming and expensive. Pla-Mor changed that! Sarah was extremely helpful with helping us find the perfect liner and Jacob was always available to answer all of our questions. Our liner was installed by Ben and Austin.

They were so professional and the whole process was seamless. Now we have a beautiful liner that we can enjoy for many years. I highly recommend Pla-Mor to anyone who is looking for an honest, reliable and professional pool company.

We hired PlaMor to open our pool this summer and was given a quote of 340.00. This included changing sand, removing and cleaning and folding up cover, putting ladder in, chemicals needed, cleaning and brushing sides, and getting it up and running. We were given a time around 1pm that day. I understood it could be a couple hour window. I had to call 3 times that day and finally they showed up at 6:15pm.

The 2 guys that came were nice and polite, but the job was not done to our satisfaction. The cover was taken off and sprayed but not cleaned and rolled up soaking wet. A few days later, it was still leaking water and we had to lay it out and clean it and dry it. My husband had to help with the hose hookup, they had to borrow our drill to put ladder in correctly, the sides were not cleaned at all (they said they didn't have stuff on truck), they failed to start putting water in to raise level so could not start pump before they left at 8:15.

We were left with a pool that was anything but open. It took us another couple hours to clean and open it later. We called to discuss the matter with PlaMor several times. The only response we got was that the guys said they did everything right. Where is the customer service? On top of that we got a bill for 444.00. My husband paid it but I called 4 days in a row to discuss this bill with Kenny but never got a call back.

Always busy, always on the phone. I called again and again he was busy but someone told me it was approved to refund me 104.00. I am not in the business of getting anything for free, but I also do not want to pay for something I did not get. Total lack of customer service. We should have at least gotten some off of original bill of 340. They took NO responsibility for anything, and totally dismissed our complaints. We have been a customer for 15 years and its a shame there are no other pool stores in Mechanicsville.

I was told that Pla-Mor is an authorized Jacuzzi dealer in the Richmond area. If you need any help with your Jacuzzi spa, I would suggest you NOT talk to "South". I requested a replacement part for the cover lift on my hot tub. I told him what I needed and he said he would look up the price and get back with me shortly. Just to be sure he knew exactly what I needed, I emailed him a picture of the broken part on May 15, 2015.

I had not heard from him for slightly over a week and called him back. He said this is his "busy time" of the year and he had not had time to look for the part, but he would get the information and call or email me with the information. I never heard back from him by phone or email. I finally had to find the part from another dealer. I guess they just do not care about their customers, or making a small sale or repair job. I do not know anything about the company, so I cannot say if the problem is company-wide, or just one lazy person. Either way, I spent my money where it was welcome.
