Ike's Carter Pool Companies has been in business for 70-years. Pebble Tec is a newer and popular pool finish material used for pool resurfacing and new pool construction. While it is more expensive than plaster, it is considered the highest quality pool resurfacing material available. Pebble Tec is made from a mixture of large and small natural pebbles that are usually mined from the earth or even taken from the famous black sand beaches in Chili.
Salt systems are growing in popularity among South Florida homeowners. When salt systems were first introduced to South Florida the early 90's, the manufacturers pitched that they were safer to swim in, made the water softer on your skin, and best of all - a lot less chlorine! Liquid chlorine is a grade of bleach you are adding to your pool and with it comes irritated eyes and skin.

Absolutely outstanding crew from Lisa Rothman in design, to Craig & Lori W during construction, Lori G with finish for final inspections and of course Courtney the technician for fire up and getting swim ready. We interviewed several vendors and can say we are so happy we went with Ike's. The attention to detail, service and responsiveness is second to none!

I saw their pictures online for the tile I was going to use and reached out to them! They responded promptly and not only answered all my questions but also shared pics of their project with similar tile which helped my decision in picking the tile! Very unhappy with their performance at Rio Nuevo pool project. Did 1 weeks work, and gone for 2 weeks, blaming on weather. An afternoon shower is not a rain out. After property management called and complained, 2 guys showed up for couple hours, and left. Wouldn't recommend them for condo pool projects. Tired of looking at my empty pool with very little work done in 3 weeks.
Interesting reply. I checked with a couple board members. They Only heard weather & it was the only reason in our owners email update. Now it's 4/18/22 After redoing tile on upper surface, which is still poor quality, no one here again for over 2 weeks. Also they ruptured our water line that feeds our docks. And hasn't been fixed for almost 3 weeks.
Pool work was suppose to be finished before Christmas 2021 not 2022. Our board is reviewing contract to see what our options are. 6/13/22 still no pool. Said by 4th of July. WHAT YEAR!

Our pool process began around this time last year when I spent countless hours comparing over 8 pool contractors to complete our project. After much analysis and after speaking with Erik on numerous occasions, we decided on Ike's Carter. We signed in late summer and the dig began in early October. Now that we are a few weeks away from completion, I can now attest that we made the right decision.
The experience began with Erik (one of the owners) during the design and development stage. He is not a salesman and that sold me. He is genuine, accommodating and remained available throughout the process. He provided his honest opinion on multiple topics and steered us away from spending more than necessary. His partner Gary (owner) arrived for the layout of the pool and provided me with his contact information if anything should go awry.
Like Erik, he valued my business. Lori G made the design process fun as she made it a point to make this expensive endeavor comical. Lori W kept me advised of every step of the process and is one of the most responsive people that I have ever encountered. She replied to my emails expeditiously and worked with me to find solutions to the extent that one was available.
Like Lori W, Madisyn in the office was easily accessible and always made us feel like we were the only Ike's Carter Pool Co. customers. My frequent on site interaction was with Ryan, the son of my construction manager Craig (who was also great after we had a chance to meet). Ryan explained the pool building process in detail, likely saved 50 inquisitive phone calls that I would have made to Craig, Erik or Gary, and did a good job "working" the pool.
Building a pool sucks. It does. There is no nice way to say this. Your yard will be a mess, your neighbors will constantly inquire as to the status of the eyesore that is your construction site, you will hope that this is the week that it will be "finished", yoru kids will keep asking you about it, you will need to fix your irrigation, landscaping and gas lines, deal with supply delays, on and on and on. However, if you want a partner who will charge a fair price for a good product, then choose Ike's. We did.

I had my pool built by Ike Carter's 5 years ago and recently the spa developed a leak near the drain. The Ike Carter team was able to figure out a way to repair my pool without ruining my PebbleTec finish and you can't even tell that the repair was completed. Some of the other reviewers commented about longer wait times for service and, while I experienced the same (thanks to COVID affecting just about everything), it was worth the wait for a professional repair that looks great.

Love my new pool that Ike's Carter Pool Built. The entire process from being to the end they were professional, responsive, on time even during Covid shortages. We get lots of compliments on how beautiful our pool is from friends & neighbors. The whole team Gary, Lori W & Lori G have been right there the whole step of the way. Every worker that showed up - worked extremely hard and quality work. Courtney - provided the best pool cleaning service at the end of the built. We will continue having Ike's clean/maintain our pool. And have recommended them to friends: Will add pictures in the next few days.

We had Ike's Carter build out pool 2 and 1/2 years ago. Gary, Lori, and the entire team at Ike's made our pool build/construction amazing. We reached out to them because they had a solid reputation and we had a friend who had a horrible experience when building a pool with another company that ended up costing them a fortune to re-do, took forever to finish, and involved lawyers.
We wanted to avoid contractors and companies like that, and so we called Ike's. Gary met with us, designed and priced exactly what we were looking for, and we were rolling. Lori was awesome at communicating what the stages are and when each stage would be started and completed. With a pool build there are a ton of variables (including weather) that effect progress.
The crews they sent were all awesome and did great work. The one or two times there was an obstacle or a small issue that would pop up, they communicated what it was and how it would be fixed. Everything was done right! End result was an amazing pool, deck and equipment that the kids have been loving for the last 2 and 1/2 years. I definitely recommend them if you're considering building or remodeling your pool. It's too big of a project to risk on some of these unknown pool construction companies. Just my opinion based on our build here in Coral Springs.
