Wow! I am still processing what happened in my driveway today. Dale Brummett was extremely rude and unprofessional! I went to his shop to buy a motor today. I had been told that their tech in the shop could swap out a part on my old motor (also purchased at Brummett) and place it on the new motor. However, when I arrived, they didn't have a drill at the shop and couldn't swap the part.
They sold me the new motor and told me someone would stop by my house to swap the part. They also sold me an extra part for $55 just in case the service person needed it. I questioned this and was told that I could have a refund if the extra part was not needed. Dale and Jennifer arrived at my home and swapped the part on the new motor. They did not need the extra part. Dale offered to take it and issue me a store credit.
I asked for a refund to my credit card instead. They agreed and told me to bring the part in to the shop. They started to leave. Then Dale returned to my door and scolded me for requesting a refund instead of accepting store credit since they had done a service for me at my home (a service that took less than 10 minutes and was supposed to have been done at their shop on equipment I purchased from them for $400).
When I tried to explain that I couldn't use a store credit, he accused me of taking advantage of his company and went on a rant about how people don't buy chemicals from him. He complained about how frustrating it is to "deal with the public" and then stormed off in his truck. My husband called him to try and clear up any confusion. Dale Brummett sarcastically said "If you really need your few dollars back, you can have a refund".
He also said he thought I should have given him a $20 tip instead of asking for a refund for the unnecessary part. Wow! Just wow! So be advised, if you are a member of "the public" Mr. Brummett doesn't want to deal with you. He just may sell you unnecessary parts, offer to come provide a service, and then browbeat you if you ask to be refunded.

Brummett installed my pool in 2008. Dale & Jenifer are amazing people & they have a very professional staff. There was an easement on my property & Dale Sr had an official come out to review my property who released 10 feet of the easement back to me so the pool could be installed. They go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied.
I've used them every year since then to open & close my pool, test my water & purchase supplies from them. They always give me excellent advise & quickly respond to any repairs or needs. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase a pool or to use their services if you already have a pool.

We purchased a pool from the Brummett's twelve years ago and have continued to work with them for maintenance, shut downs and reopenings. We also buy all of our supplies from them. They are very knowledgeable and dependable. I wouldn't trust my pool to anyone else. Great business. Services: Cleaning, Winterization

Gave 2 stars because when they finally show up they do a decent job most of the time and the pool itself is a good product. The Customer Service of this company is by far THE WORST I've ever dealt with. I've never one time in 4 years received a call back from a message I left on a voice-mail or with a person answering calls. Normally no one answers, but when they do they take messages and no one returns the calls.
Last summer when I closed i left 5+ messages that 4 straps were not connected when the cover was placed on my pool at closing. No one ever called me back and I gave up. I felt as though I'm stuck with the company because they installed the pool for my aunt years ago and would have the best experience with servicing it. I understand that i spend on average 1000 per year with them unless I have issues so maybe they don't care about my business, but it's very frustrating.
The only person who knows anything is Jennifer and well she's too busy to speak to anyone it seems as she NEVER returns a call. My pump was replaced last year and the next day realized it wasn't running properly. Jennifer had to return to fix it and told me they installed it backwards. She turned it around and it worked properly. Now this year I've had issues multiple times that the pump is running so loud i can hear it in the house.
Work was done, but now it stopped working completely. Well of course I'm like 2-3 months short on being in warranty period although I've called about issues with the pump. I tried to explain to the Customer Service representative who told me I was incorrect although Jennifer herself told me what happened and advised she was not going to listen to me and would have Jennifer call me.which in turn I have to laugh because I've heard that countless times and still zero calls. Wish someone at the company cared about the little people who have stuck with them. So frustrating EVERY year. I give up.

Dale, Jennifer and the entire team have gone above and beyond from day one and continue to do so! They are all hard working, knowledgeable, kind and they do an amazing job! They feel like family and we are so glad that we chose them for our pool install! Very disappointed in this company. They installed a pool system that they themselves don't know how to use. They never return phone calls. Our pool has had so many issues that they haven't fixed. Extremely frustrated and using a different company now to maintain our pool and help us learn how to use it.

Asked them to call before closing my pool so we could unlock the gate. They did not call, they climbed the fence and went through our shed to get the cover. They also closed the pool in lots of rain. Several of the pool ties did not get attached. Called and complained and I was told we would get a deal on opening. Instead, I received a mailing that I am required to buy $250 in supplies in addition to paying opening costs before they would schedule an opening. Very dissatisfied!

Very disappointed in this place. I was referred by a friend went and looked at his installation while owner was there working. I was told he would swing by the next day on his way back home. I'm still waiting I've even went to there store 2 times on Thursdays while I'm there direction. I left all my info with a younger lady that drive a white Jeep Wrangler twice she assured me she would passed along. I have been waiting for approximately 3 months now.

So frustrating to not be able to look at pricing on the web pages for the different pools without filling out forms for each and then waiting for the "packets" to arrive! I had a pool from here before and loved it. It came with my house. Now I am thinking about getting another one, but not fun to shop. Moving on.
