I'm filing a complaint against the Fiddler Inn, 2410 Music Valley Drive, Nashville TN. We called & made reservations directly with the hotel in late March 2022. We only received a verbal confirmation number at the end of booking the room. WE were scheduled to arrive the evening of June 3,2022 and check out June 5, 2022. My wife called Tuesday May 31st at 1:58PM to cancel the reservation. WE were told that we were going to be charged one nights rate of $183.44 because we didn't cancel 72 hours in advance.
Their website states a 4pm check in time. We tried to explain that we were within the 72 hour deadline but the person we spoke to said that Friday didn't count in the 72 hour window. At no time were we told this information and there is no where on their website declaring this. Our conversation ended when the person hung up on my wife while she was in mid sentence. In conclusion, we would like to be refunded the $183.44 that they have deducted form our card along with advising travelers to beware if they choose to deal with this hotel.

This was the worst experience I've had with a car dealership. I leased 2 cars from American Car Center at the Rivergate Madison dealership. They were both 2017 Kia Souls. The first one was leased in 2019 around the end of the year and in 2020 later that year the engine failed so of course I was told that due to mileage the warranty was out of service so i did a collateral swap and still had to make a down payment again, got the 2nd Kia Soul around the end of 2020 & in Feb 2022 the car stalled out at a traffic light and of course the engine failed on that vehicle and yes i did my oil changes and maintenance routinely and once again I was to do a collateral swap and was asked again for a down payment which I felt like that should have been waived due to circumstances and experience with them.
They were not willing to work with me in any way to help me out. My payments were on time but still I was treated like a nobody and all they seem to care about was money down. The person even had the nerve to suggest to me to get a payday loan! Really.that's more debt so of course I was unable to get the down payment in 30 days so American Finance put the balance of the loan on my credit report so here I am no car and more debt.
I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. I left with tears in my eyes. I'm a single woman and felt taken advantage of. I'm in no way wealthy nor do I have a perfect credit score so here I stand stuck with a bill and no car because the bottom line for me was that I needed a down payment. This is not a place I would recommend to anyone. The guy told me he did a collateral swap without a down payment for another client & advised me to come back in and he would help but got a call back from him stating I still needed to make a down payment, so why bother telling me it was done for another client but didn't make it happen for me. Now I'm using public transportation and still I'm hurt. For all you car shoppers just beware of them.

I wondered why the BBB of Middle Tennessee had a 3.2 review. After looking through many of the posted reviews, it appears this number is misleading for two reasons: 1. Reviewers posting reviews for companies other than the BBB. 2. Non-member companies with strong reservations against the BBB in general, but not actually using their services. My review is as a consumer who is looking for businesses willing to promote ethical practices.
I have used the BBB site many times to find vendors who have an A+ rating whenever the need arises. I look at their reviews, number of complaints, resolutions, etc. and weigh these factors in my decision. So far, I have been completely satisfied with every company I've chosen. And if it's not, I feel I can work the issue out with the company using BBB to assist if needed. This is the purpose of BBB and why I will continue to use them.

Have been trying to look at BBB reviews/complaints of a contractor who took several thousand dollars from us, never returned, has been several, several months.horrifically unethical behavior.but they're history in BBB always seems to be under chronic review/update, so there is no way to look at other cases that have been filed against them. Vito Corleone would be proud.

10 calls to my personal phone in less than 5 minutes from the BBB and no voicemail left. If your call is that important, leave a message and really, only call once. This BBB office has lost all respect and credibility. Edit: Blaming this situation on spoofing is deplorable. I experience spoofing and spam calls multiple times a day and this isn't how they work. Take responsibility, don't blame it on an unknown.

Darlene Taylor of the Nashville BBB is completely incompetent, with an additional aura of pure evil. The Middle Tennessee BBB is now under a full investigation, for criminal and civil liability due to reports of ongoing unethical activities. We highly recommend distancing your company from any association with this chapter of the BBB.

The Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee is a predatory private company that doesn't actually care about good businesses. These people do not even follow their own guidelines of behavior for businesses. The communication is terrible. It doesn't matter what you do to solve issues, it is in the BBB's best interest to keep your profile in a negative state, unless you pay them money.
This is a scam. Always has been. We are very dissatisfied with the BBB irresponsibly interfering with our business for their own profit.
