I hired Backyard Living to build us a backyard paradise during the height of COVID. I was one of what seemed like a million people who decided to have pools put in at the same time. Not only were the contractors not prepared for COVID, but neither were the suppliers. No one was prepared for what COVID dealt. Throughout the entire process, though, the crew and owner stayed extremely positive.
With every supply chain delay or staffing shortage, the owner did his best to keep us informed. Additionally, the price of the project stayed the same. I told the owner what our budget was, and he stayed within that budget. When we wanted to make changes, he was open and honest about how we could do that. He even allowed us to bring in a 3rd party to complete the paver installation due to a staffing delay on his team.
In what was probably the most challenging season in history to be a pool builder, John Paul Williams and his team worked through all of the issues in front of them to provide us with even more than what we expected. and we had high expectations.

You will not find a better quality pool for the money than this place right here. From start to finish was a smooth and easy process just as was promised. John paul was very responsive and quick to answer any questions or concerns we may have had. Dont make a mistake and go anywhere else for a new pool or maintenance. He even promised free pool cleaning if the 49ers win the super Bowl

I don't believe that they are still in business. I've called several times, and the mailbox is ALWAYS FULL. The message on the recorder says that you can call John Paul Williams, when you call that number, the message says that they "WILL RETURN YOUR CALL BY END OF BUSINESS THE NEXT DAY, " that was 3 MONTHS AGO! I've NEVER received a single call. I would have given them a "0 star rating" if it was allowed, but I had to give them a 1.
They need to stop advertising and disconnect the phones. This is very aggravating when a customer is trying to have a job done and looking for a competent and reliable company.

Stay away from Backyard living and John Paul Williams who is the owner. He uses all subcontractors who don't care about you or your property. They are unreliable, irresponsible and destructive to your property. If you want a long drawn out, unprofessional, unspeakable, nightmare of a journey getting your pool build, John Paul Williams is your man.
If you want to have an enjoyable journey with no stress, no deception during the building process of your pool, go elsewhere. I would have given no stars if I was given the choice.

John Paul of Backyard living is a very good hire and although he might speak differently about me, lol, as our project literally changed every day and was confusing at best, him and his crew were amazing, always nice, respectful and fun to be around. Karyn and I will highly recommend backyard living for your private oasis.
