UPDATE: August 5, 2021 - As expected, Mr. Burmudez launched a personal attack on me after my post below. He claims that I videoed his wife even though I don't have video cameras in my backyard and I have much better things to do than video the pool maintenance person doing their job. I think that its important that you consider that all the most recent reviews of this company are very negative.

Just check out the post from a day ago from an individual by the name of Gary Vandenberg and you'll understand that this is a pattern. ORIGINAL POST: I just fired this company on July 26, 2021, after only two months of service. They are certainly the worst pool maintenance company we have ever dealt with. Before I explain the reasons, I think that it's important to point out that whenever someone leaves negative feedback on this company, the owner, Tim Bermudez, tries to either slander the individual, or simply deny that they were a customer. That's really bad business. Anyway, here are the reasons why I fired them: 1.

After coming out to clean our pool, I confronted Carin about the green algae that could clearly be seen. Carin's answer was that they do not brush the algae from the bottom of the pool floor. Instead, she said that this was the job of the automatic pool vacuum cleaner. That was quite an interesting answer considering you could clearly see algae on the walls of the pool, which confirmed that she didn't even bother to brush the walls properly.

On another visit, we tested the chlorine level which registered at zero. When communicating this fact to Carin, her response was that if she hadn't added chlorine, the pool would be green with algae. The reason there was no algae was because we had added our own algaecide, along with having to brush the pool ourselves. 2. We were sent a letter stating that all their customers were "required" to pay $155 every spring and summer for what they called a "Summer/Spring Treatment Service".

They described part of the service as including a "Conditioning and Mineral Booster to fight Algae". Furthermore, the letter read, "If your pool develops an Algae Bloom, Abatement Treatments are an additional $75". I have two problems with this mandatory service. First of all, they don't bother to brush the algae off the walls of the pool, but they want you to pay an additional $155 to $230 to treat the algae. Secondly, the cost of these treatments increases the total annual cost of their service by anywhere from 23.5% to 35%.

They never told me anything about these additional charges when I signed up, which is not a good business practice. 3. Our pool electrical panel went out, so I was happy to find out that the owner, Tim Bermudez, said that he could fix it. He replaced the panel and I immediately paid him the agreed $1,200 bill. Unfortunately, he left it with nothing working the way it should.

That is, the buttons on the app were messed up. Specifically, things like the grotto light would turn on with the pool pump and the regular pool lights would not display the color wheel options. His answer was to state that the prior pool repairman had miswired the board. That made no sense at all considering that everything had worked properly prior to him replacing the board.

I then had to spend the next two weeks chasing him down in order to get the problem fixed. Each time I communicated with him, he would brag about being an expert on pool equipment, which is why he knew that the prior pool repairman didn't know what he was doing. That's interesting considering that it took him two visits, plus an unknown number of remote connections in order to fix the problem. On the final fix, I personally witnessed him correct a wiring problem by crossing two connectors. This is not the work of someone who is an expert on pool equipment.

Thank you Steve for coming out and doing a thorough diagnostic on our pool issue so quickly. We appreciate your honesty and professionalism. The knowledge you have for pool equipment and pool cleaning is phenomenal. Thank you again for being an honest company. We appreciate your business and hope to be longtime customers of yours.

We needed some help with basic care of our spa so Tim came over and gave us good information on how to take care of our spa. He noticed some issues with our equipment so we'll have him come back to repair or replace the equipment.

I had just obtained a new property with a Sundance spa in the backyard that was not running. Quality Pool Care, Tim, came out and evaluated the situation and got the jacuzzi running in no time. He explained to me the controls and also gave me list of items that I would need to keep it in optimal condition. He was very kind and informative. If I ever need assistance with my jacuzzi, will definitely be calling Tim!

I contacted this company when we moved into our new home. Spoke with Carin, the office manager, and she is just the friendliest. Her people skills are what sold me. From the first minute she treated me like family. We scheduled a consultation with Tim, the owner, for a quote. He is just as personable. Very knowledgeable about the equipment and answered all my questions.

They are priced very fair. They send emails and text to keep you updated and informed, which is great. Carin is the one who comes weekly to service our pool and I just love her. She goes above and beyond. Carin even fixed my gate when some of the screws were loose. I mean, who does that?! We have built a great rapport. We chat about life and everything when we can. They are more than just "our pool people"!

I highly recommend quality pool care for any and all of your pool needs. Carin is very helpful and courteous. She has kept our pool looking crystal clear and has always been there to answer all of our many questions.

We've used Tim and Quality Pool Care since 2013, ever since our pool was built. His customer service and expertise are ideal. He is always available and very responsive any time there are issues. We also asked him to do a tile clean earlier this year and were delighted with the results. I would recommend them to anyone looking for pool service.

I've been a customer for several years. I think I pay a bit more even though my pool is small in size, but it always looks stellar. They do charge a la carte for extra chemicals, filter cleanings, etc. but he can pretty much repair anything and even got my heater replaced under warranty. We used to get hit with the wind and the pool was horrendous but he had us purchase a new pool cleaner and it's been great since then. I'm a widow and don't know much about pools at all and Tim has been a tremendous help.

Tim has been servicing my pool for about 6 years already and I've never had an issue with him. he has always given me great service and done quality installs like replace the old pool equipment that came with my home when i first purchased it. He replaced the pool pump, pool heater, filter, and controller and everything works great and he continues to do the weekly service.

They have done a great job at keeping my pool sparkling clean. Plus, they also handle pool pump repairs. I highly recommend them.

They did the green to clean and my pool is clear and sparkling. Communication is great Carin always gets back to me in a timely manner. They answer my questions and Concerns honestly. I just started with them and am hoping for a long relationship. Oh and they also understand about my dogs and how I need notification prior to coming over, this is greatly appreciated.

Tim Bermudez is a BIG joke, Beware of this con artist! Very poor service, doesn't know what he is doing.such a shame. AVOID AVOID! Double charged my account in several occasions. I advise everyone to join me to file a report @ Better Business Bureau.

Hands down the best Pool Service around. Tim and his crew are prompt, thorough and professional. He has gone out of his way many times to make repairs and explains the hell out of everything. If you don't know how something works with your pool, you will. And it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes!

This owner NEVER came through on ANYTHING he promised. We had a pool remodel with new tile and a pool replaster. When we first contracted with him he promised it would be a professional job and we would be completely satisfied with the job. Not true. The tile wasn't even straight and the replaster is rough and uneven. His employees brought little childen onto our property during the remodel.

His tile guy's solution was "my husband could re tile it himself if he didn't like it." They used dark grout on the tile and there is white residue leaking through the grout. Mr. Bermudez has been promising for months to fix the problem but again, not true. After over a year of his excuses, we finally sent him an e-mail telling him his services were no longer needed and we would get someone else to fix his mistakes since he wouldn't. Beware.

I started to use quality pool care at the beginning of the 2013 summer. I hired them to do start a weekly service on my pool because I was frustrated with my pool. I was having continuous problems and was unable to keep the algae away. The pool is only 3 years old and this didn't seem to be something I should be dealing with at this point. Quality pool care came to my rescue.

They acid washed my pool and started a weekly service. I was able to enjoy the pool all summer long without the frustration and my wife and I are looking forward to another summer of clean, clear, algae free water. I would recommend quality pool care to anyone who asked. Tim knows his pools and pool maintenance. Thanks tim.

Choosing to use Quality pool care was the best decision. Our pool has never looked better! They are a professional and reliable company. Quality Pool did an Amazing job on the Acid Wash on our Pool. Looks like a New Pool, blue and Sparkling clean. I would recommend them for sure!

I have been a customer of Quality Pool Care for three years now and have been very happy. They did have a time of employee transition that was a bit rocky, but now with Tim and Carin at the helms everything has been great. Tim is very knowledgable and great at explaining to the last detail what is going on with a pool. Carin is amazing at customer service and making sure clients are happy and informed. Tim and Carin know that I have kids that love the pool so they go the extra mile to let me know if their treatment is more aggressive and will require some "down time" to ensure my family is safe. I love the communication and thoughtfulness. I recommend the company often and will continue to do so.
