The patented CHLORINE GENIE uses an electrolytic cell submerged in salty brine softened water to produce the chlorine your pool needs. The water is softened by a reverse osmosis system and water descaling system built right into the unit. The electrolytic cell breaks salt and water into the basic elements: chloride, sodium, hydrogen, and oxygen.
Most pool professionals agree that dumping hundreds of pounds of salt in a swimming pool is environmentally a bad idea. In some areas, it is against the law. Salt is corrosive and can damage pool equipment, the pool surface, and surrounding landscaping and hardscaping. Instead of putting 800lbs of salt into a swimming pool, Chlorine Genie requires only 80lbs of clean salt and it is added directly to the unit-the salt never enters the pool water.

Best friends with a Chlorine Genie owner....swim there all the time and love it! I have been so spoiled swimming in pool water sanitized by the Chlorine Genie....sparkling crystal clear water... no more green hair or ruined swimsuits...no harsh chlorine smell....... and the kids can open their eyes underwater without them getting all red and irritated.
The water feels so soft on my skin and I don't feel like I have to take a shower when I get out of the pool. The only problem is now I hate swimming in regular pools...thanks for spoiling me Chlorine Genie!

I had a big problem that was costing me a fortune. Chlorine Genie solved it for me. My Pool was like no other in size and use Size 50x26 which in it self was very costly to Chlorinate. But add to the problem I had a 680 foot water slide the had 600 gallows of water Per min. The guys from Chlorine Genie Solve the problem. It saved me dumping 20-30 Gallons at a time in the pool. I have never wrote a review before but I felt I had to this thing work.

I have been a customer of Chlorine Genie for over 3 years and I am extremely satisfied with this system. I have a 13,000 gallon pool. I had a Gold Line Aqua Rite system that required me to dump salt into the pool. I did not like the taste or the way the salt felt on my skin. I also, had to replace the cell twice in 4 years on the Gold Line chlorine system.
I found out the hard way how bad salt can be for equipment, as I had to replace my pool pump, due to parts being corroded after only 4 years. I searched long and hard to find a better way. Then I came across the Chlorine Genie on the internet. I did some research and decided to give it a try. After calculating what I was currently spending on chemicals not even taking into account the time I spent driving back and forth to the store, I realized this was long overdue.
It seems every time you go into those pool stores they want to talk you into buying more chemicals to balance the levels in your pool. It was beginning to feel like an addiction. Well I decided to kick the habit. I invested in the Chlorine Genie and have never been happier. Not only does it maintain my chlorine level, it saves me money on acid for adjusting PH.
The only thing I do now is to test the water once every couple of weeks, to ensure the pool water is stable. Only time I have had to make any minor adjustments (open or close 1 valve, and set timer) is when weather changes from hot summer to cooler winter. My water has never looked better, it is so crystal clear. Maintenance has never been easier, simply put 1 bag of $5 salt into tank once every 3-6 months.

My young children are normally somewhat adverse to swimming because they dislike the burning sensation and slimy feeling you get from swimming in a pool heavily treated with chemicals (which is basically most pools these days), but with the Chlorine Genie they want to stay in the pool for hours with no tears. Great product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to really enjoy their pool.
