Pat Ireland, president and owner of Indigo Pool Patio BBQ has over 18 years industry experience in the design, construction and functionality of swimming pools, spas and water features.
As an equipment specialist for one of the industries leading manufacturers he spent many years traveling throughout Florida, parts of the US and even throughout the central and south Americas training companies and individuals on the how to's of equipment, hydraulics, heating and electrical aspects of swimming pool construction.
In 2005, Pat decided he wanted to settle down a bit to hopefully spend time at home with his wife and two daughters, as well as proceed with a long time ambition of building fine pools, spas, and water features.

Still providing amazing customer service! Indigo built our outdoor kitchen and we had to call recently for some minor issues. Kristina was available as always to help us get what we needed to have our refrigerator cooling appropriately and for getting a service technician to take a look at our grill. Ken (their preferred warranty technician) was fantastic as well! He explained everything in detail and we're now awaiting the pieces to get the grill back up. Thanks again for stellar service!

Indigo pools is the ONLY place to go for your custom swimming pool and spa. From the first meeting to the final inspection, we always felt like we were their most important customer. Each of our requests was met with a "can do" attitude. Every individual who came to our house to work on their particular phase of the pool/spa was professional, kind, and knowledgable. Our outdoor kitchen was a much awaited and large project; therefore we had sought out several estimates. Amongst all the contractors we dealt with, the outdoor kitchen designer at Indigo, Kristina Warren, was by far the most responsive, pleasant and punctual of them all. We had several estimates, this clinched it for us. Throughout the process, which had its ups and downs as is to be expected with any project, at no point did we regret our decision.
While the quality of the work, the contractors that came to our home and the end result were all top quality, Kristina added that professional, knowledgeable and constant presence that gave you peace of mind. Thank you for an awesome job Indigo and Kristina!

We purchased a new construction home in North Port, I am so happy our builder uses Indigo pools. They did an amazing job, and considering the crazy volume of construction going on the personal interactions each time show how great of a company this is. From Charlie helping us develop our ideas and helping guide us on items and colors needed. The few times I had a question during the build process Jason was quick to respond and answer any questions I had. Lisa who helped with my purchase of our ledge loungers and getting them sent over was a major help for us.
And when it came to move in we had our pool school with Jeff, as first time pool owners, he was very informative and patient helping us out. And even his follow up when it came time for adding our chemicals and the condition of our pool was awesome. And to all the people I didn't meet or speak with who built the pool and did all the construction work, all I can say it thank you!

My Wife and I interviewed a total of 6 different Local Pool Companies prior to making our decision. After careful consideration, we opted to go with Indigo Pool Patio BBQ. Chris Whiddon in Sales was very knowledgeable of the industry and didn't try to over sell. We also had the opportunity to visit the Show Room and was able to meet with the Owner, Pat Ireland, whom reflected the same aforementioned values.
The Project Scope and Timeline was easily understood; which Jason Roberts our Construction Manager and Team executed with minimal disruption to daily life. From Start to Finish, the Communication was awesome. Would definitely recommend!

Our salt water pool by Indigo was recently completed, and we could not be happier. We have a resort-style oasis right out our backdoor. The experience was very positive. From our design meetings with Charlie to Jason who coordinated the construction to Jeff and Tori who taught us how to care for the pool and Chuck who helped troubleshoot minor issues, the process was seamless. Charlie recommended ways to abate the nearby road noise, and provided feedback to stay within budget.
In addition to the Blue Granite Pebbletec with Rattlesnake tile, we have a spa, steps and safety bench, we put in umbrella holders, bubblers, spitters (deck-jets), and a lovely simple sitting ledge. We have small planting areas inside the wide-view cage. He guided us towards a travertine deck - a great idea it is so much cooler than man-made materials.
This was totally worth the incremental cost. He also helped to draw and design a pool that was unique and classy. He listened, incorporating our desires in each iteration until we had the design we loved. Jason was on top of every aspect of construction. The folks doing the work were respectful of us and our desires. Jason gave us frequent updates on the steps and answered every question. Also, while we had to wait in the queue, approximately 4 months from deposit to beginning of work, once they started, they cranked. Shovels were in the ground Feb 24, and we were swimming on Memorial Day weekend. We love our pool by Indigo!

Our experience started with Charlie. He came to our house listened to what we wanted and then made some suggestions. His explanation of how the process of building the pool and the depth of detail is the reason we went with Indigo. Jason our site manager was easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. Jeff did our pool school and explained everything very in great detail.
The different trades that came to our home where all respectable and professional. I know there are many pool companies out there, I would put Indigo up against any of them. Thanks to Pat and his entire team we have the back yard paradise of our dreams.

We just finished our pool construction project. We did a smaller pool with a sun shelf. The project from start to finish went well, even during COVID. There were a few things that needed addressed, but nothing major and what needed done was taken care of quickly. We are very pleased with the product and would recommend Indigo and do it again with them.

Indigo Pools is putting in a pool for us. While it is too soon to write a final review, we would like to say that the pool will be completed within the promised 10 week time frame. The pavers and cage are all finished, and the pebble tech will be put in tomorrow. The pool itself will have been completed within 8 weeks, but the site has yet to be cleaned up and graded, which will happen next week.
We would like to add that Jason, the construction supervisor, has been extremely accessible, and if he can't answer a call immediately, he calls back very quickly. If the project is completed in the same manner as the work has been done so far, Indigo Pools will get a % Star + rating from us.

Our pool was over 10 years old and was beginning to show signs of aging. We did lots and lots of research and tailored to several companies before deciding on Pat Ireland and Indigo Pools. They redesigned our spa, re finished our pool and pool deck, and it is absolutely stunning. Pat was by far the most knowledgeable, meticulous and professional person pool person I've ever dealt with. If you are looking at doing anything with a pool, you must check out Indigo before going with anyone else - they are the BEST!!!!

Indigo Pools refinished our pool and spa recently and did a great job. They were easy to work with on the plans for the renovation, had very good people working for them on the construction and did a great job overall. We have had many very positive comments on the quality of work since the completion of the renovation. I would recommend Indigo to anyone considering a renovation or new pool installation.

We had Indigo Pools rebuild our pool and spa as they were very old and in poor condition. The detailed workmanship put into the project by Pat and his contractors was the best that I have seen. Attention to detail, and ease to modification of plans, was apparent from the beginning. We have had numerous comments, all positive, about the finished product and the quality of work done.
During construction, Pat and his crew, were masters at keeping dust and clutter to a minimum. If delays were going to happen in the daily schedule, Pat took the time to notify us and explain the problem and his approach to rectify it. Excellent company and excellent people = Indigo Pools of Venice.
