Georgia Pools

They were polite, knowledgeable, and quick to serve. I had no problem with their prices or with my interactions with them. My one gripe, and I feel like this is a big one, is that they sold me muriatic acid that wasn't sealed under the lid. If you've dealt with muriatic acid before, you know it's very potent stuff. Every time I've bought it anywhere else, there was an additional seal I had to break after removing the lid.

That's because a leaking jug of muriatic acid can be disastrous. Well, the jug lid was loose or came loose in the back of the car, doesn't really matter which, and some leaked out on the way home. I don't know exactly how much, but spill just a teaspoon of muriatic acid in your car and you won't be able to breathe. Had to evacuate and air it out just to finish my drive home, and even then, with all windows down and head outside to breathe. Chemicals that toxic really ought to be sealed in addition to a screw on lid.

Prompt service! I had my pool contract signed and pool installed in 3 weeks! They are very helpful when you call. The crew that installed the pool was awesome as well.

I can't get over how kind both of the people were that helped me! Both were knowledgeable and friendly! They knew exactly what I needed to fix my cloudy pool. The gentleman gave me recommendations of the chemicals I needed and then wrote me a step by step list of what to do when I got home. And, low and behold, about 5 hours after I did the easy-to-follow steps he gave me my pool was blue again and clearing up! I recommend them for their great prices, friendly, efficient customer service, and quality products! I will shop there for my hot tub products, too!

I had been looking at different pool places and had gotten about 15 quotes. Other pool places were going to be June before they could install an above ground pool. GA pools worked efficiently to have my pool up and running within a 2 week period. I was even more impressed at the guy who was doing the installation. He came out and tried to level the ground out but it was to wet.

Instead of going ahead and putting the pool up like many others would have done, he took his time. He come back 3 days in a row to see if the ground had dried out enough for them to begin installing the pool. He explained everything to us and was very nice. The front staff at GA Pools was very nice and helpful as well! I definitely recommend them for your pool needs.

I purchased 2 pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I was treated very professional! I absolutely love my sunglasses! They are definitely worth the money. I would recommend the product and Georgia Pools!

Last spring hired this company to refinish my swimming pool deck. Despite being double the price of competitor we used Monty mistakenly thinking we were paying for quality. It took forever for workers to complete, not reliable to show up. The seams didn't last anytime. They are cracking and breaking off. we've purchased several high priced items from Monty and this is how he repays a continuing customer.

I honesty can not recommend him to anyone. I have photos showing every Seam cracking and breaking off. Update Sept 2019 Monty called me same day review posted. Has new guy and after summer business slowed down was able to come out and satisfactorily repair all the seams. They look so much better. See two pictures at end.

We paid $10,000+ to have our existing 20x40 Grecian pool renovated. First payment of $5,000 was made the first week of February 2020. 2nd payment of $4,500 was made 2nd week of March 2020. Work is fairly decent but communication and responsiveness are nonexistent. Waiting four months and still the pool is not finished. Worker says he will come, does not show up.

When he does come, he is often here less than an hour. Have called Monty many times, are given constant excuses: tile is on back order, tile was broken, liner has not come in yet, liner is wrong, it was raining, we have other jobs, we are busy. We have been told multiple times that the job will be done by the end of the week and it has not happened.

Today the workers did not show up yet again despite saying they would be here and we called Monty. My husband was firm this time and stated that this is not acceptable. Monty replied that he is 70 years old and does not appreciate being yelled at. He said he will stop work on the job and put a lien on our home because we still owe him money. This is unbelievable.

The money we owe is to be paid when the job is complete. It is not complete. We have been telling them for a month that we simply want to pay the job off and be done with it. The pool is disgusting and unusable; the water is green, the liner is slimy. We were told to fill it even though the equipment was not even put in yet, then they left it with no chemicals or maintenance for almost three weeks. Today, Monty stated it is not his job to put chemicals in the pool and that we are responsible for bringing a water sample so they can tell us what to buy to fix it.

This is not what we were told by the worker. We were also told that the ladder and railing are on back order for the past three weeks. This is the first we've heard of that, as well. Nothing we've been told by Georgia Pools has been trustworthy. We are also only told anything when we call to ask what is going on and why things are taking so long. Nothing was apparently ordered for our job either time we gave them money.

It's unbelievable that this man is threatening us with a lien because we want the job that we've paid for done and are tired of being jerked around about it. If he is overwhelmed by the amount of work he is accepting, he needs to hire more than one guy or stop committing to jobs he cannot finish in a reasonable time. This is not our problem, nor is it acceptable to put our job off for others when we've already paid.

After almost 4 months, we have been left with a $10,000 disgusting hole in the ground - still with no clear answer on when it will be finished, and have been threatened because we feel that is not acceptable. This is absurd. We have been more than patient (that's why it took three+ months to leave this review) and would simply like the job finished.

Save your money and your time. Go with somebody else. EDIT: It is two days later. The workers have come twice now and stated they are finished with the pool. They stated that Monty told them since we are complaining about how long it is taking, it is now our responsibility to fix the pool light so that it works and they are leaving it not functioning.

We will have to hire an electrician and spend additional money to do that, even though we were told YESTERDAY that they were going to be doing it. Ladder and railing are not attached to the deck correctly. No plug left for the overflow drain so we can actually fill the pool to its appropriate depth. Left no skimmer, no brush, nothing they said they would - yet they still want the same amount of money. The unprofessional behavior of this company is really astonishing and so disappointing. We will be going to Mid-state Pools from now on.

We were due to have our liner replaced in our in ground pool. We actually chose Georgia Pools because a good friend of mine is the office girl there! When the guys came, 2 of them, they were so efficient at removing the old liner, I was amazed! Then, we have a natural spring that runs under our pool, and they had to find a way to get the water out of the way long enough to replace some gravel and concrete.

They did a great job on that. The liner was put In beautifully! Not a wrinkle! All in all, I highly recommend Georgia Pools for any pool needs! I am very pleased with the end result!

Very friendly service. They were on time with installation and handled any concerns immediately. Very knowledgeable about their pools and went the extra mile to ensure that we were satisfied with the finished product. We will be going back in the future for any pool needs.

Worst experience ever! The owner makes everything sound so great. until it is time for results. The whole company is unprofessional. Do NOT go with these people. I know Mid-state is expensive but you get what you pay for. Do NOT pinch pennies on this one. It will be a huge regret. Avoid this company at all costs!

This was a great experience! They were so knowledgable about the Green Egg. They provided pictures, information, and a hands on demonstration! The carry many products related to the Green Egg, and they also have hot tubs, jacuzzi spas, pools, and pool equipment. The staff are very accommodating and made sure each customer had exactly what they needed.

Really great customer service! It's a small size store, however they have multiple selections of products. At the end of the experience, they also provided a 10% discount! Awesomeness. I was surprised to find out that the Green Egg carried organic charcoal, gluten free BBQ sauce, and gluten free seasonings. After grilling, I found that the charcoal has a hickory taste and cooked evenly!

The best grilling I've tasted, since pit grilling with wood chips. I look forward to making gluten free pizzas using the stone plate in the future. I would highly recommend this location and look forward to visiting again.
