Continuing the tradition, northeastern Wisconsin native Jeff Desing purchased The Pool People in 2017. The son of hardworking parents who have been married for over 50 years, Jeff understood the faithfulness and integrity that it takes to build something worthwhile.
Our $300 Pool Opening service includes preparation and start-up of working filtration equipment, testing of the water, and closing with the necessary chemicals. If you would prefer us to use your chemicals, please leave those out by the pool. If we do not find chemicals left out for our technicians, we will provide the needed chemicals at an additional cost.
Our Hot Tub Valet service makes owning and enjoying your hot tub a carefree experience. This service can be scheduled either as a one time fee of $299, or save even more if you sign up for 3 visits per year at $799. I have been calling this company for the last 3 days. Each time I call I do not get the office that I need and a very polite person says theyll connect me. Then after a short wait the same person comes back on and says " Im sorry, all the reps inn that office are on the phone or busy, I would be happy to take a message and have someone retuern your cal " l. Im waiting.3 days later still no call back.
I guess since they are the only game in town they can afford to treat potential customers like this. I expressed my displeasure to the woman I spoke to today who again assured me that someone would CB. They have multiple stores but a central location for answering the phone. Im not sure if the 3 separate people I spoke to that told me they would ask someone to call me back are not rel;aying messages or if they just don't care or a combination of both.

We are BEYOND IMPRESSED by the help we got from the staff at The Pool People, especially Doug! As basically first time pool owners, we were struggling with Iron in our water, even though we tested and treated our water before adding chlorine per the recommendations from another pool store we went to right after our pool was freshly filled. We had then visited a different pool store, where they again pointed us in the wrong direction. Having spent hundreds at each of the first two stores on chemicals and eventually a sand filter and feeing defeated, I stopped in to The Pool People and was greeted by Doug.
He immediately diagnosed two major problems with our setup and the sand we were using that another pool store sold us. The picture on the left is what our water looked like the day of visiting The Pool People for the first time. Today, just one week later, after following Doug's recommendations, we have the pictures on the right. We had been struggling since opening the pool in early May.
We did buy some products from them but they never pushed the products on us and the products did exactly as they were supposed to. We would recommend anyone to The Pool People and their great team. We will definitely be going to them for all of our pool needs in the future!

Great customer service by all employees. They made the whole pool buying experience positive and simple. We felt supported by our decision every step of the way and knowing they are just a call or quick visit away helps us feel at ease. Terrible experience with ongoing service with our hot tub purchase. They were quick to take our money for the purchase. The first hot tub that came was the wrong one. We eventually got the right hot tub built and delivered. I had a call over 12 times to complete this process and sometimes I would wait for over two weeks to receive a phone call back and eventually I would call myself.
We are now having issues with the 2nd hot tub not working properly. We have left three messages over the past 2 weeks for their service department to help us get the hot tub repaired and as of today we still have not gotten a call back yet. The buying experience was good, the delivery an ongoing service experience from the Wausau location has been atrocious.

Excellent service and very helpful with our laundry list of questions! We worked with Doug Cahak, and he was very knowledgeable and explained all of the options that we had. The process to purchase was easy and seamless. We will be back for some outdoor furniture next! Definitely will return and spread the word to friends and family! The Pool People is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. They've screwed up over and over and over again since we ordered our pool in May. I've been patient and forgiving, but now I'm past that point and want nothing to do with them. They flat out lied about things and have admitted their employee was telling customers the wrong prices.
The employee is no longer with them either, but they won't own up to their mistakes. I still don't have a filter and the installer they sent us to just up and quit on us yesterday, so now we have a full pallet of pool parts in our garage and nobody to install them. I went in today and talked with the owner of the whole company. He was disgustingly passive aggressive about everything.
He told me I could return the pool, but there is a 30% restocking fee even though his other employee, Nicole told me I could return it for free earlier due to their previous mistakes. The owner even decided it would be a good idea to call me an asshole when I was in there and said he knows more about business than I do. It's been a nightmare. Trust me. If you're thinking about going to Juniper (formerly The Pool People), think twice. You will thank me later.

Not a happy customer. Ordered and paid for a pool table in the beginning of August. Was told maybe 8 weeks. I missed Thanksgiving and I still don't have it. I could have gotten one from two other places in that amount of time. To make matters worse, they called and told me Monday it was in and would be delivered and installed Monday only to call me back today to say that the only thing that came in was the cloth.
This happened a second time; they called and said it was in and scheduled me for December 14. I took a day off work, and they didn't show up. When I called, they said it was not in and apologized. Really? I spoke to 2 other more reputable dealers that noth told me that the table I ordered was a 7-8 week lead time. These people lied to me over and over again. Buyer beware!

I ordered patio furniture in May and was told 4 weeks to delivery and it is now mid August and have yet to receive my furniture. Sure there have been all the excuses including: we do not know why, they are back ordered, may be held up in customs, we no longer have a mfg rep and the list goes on. I only wish the Pool People had been up front with me. Just be warned, if you do order patio furniture from these folks.it may take far longer than expected.
