Critical: Professionalism Purchased a home that has a brand new pool less than a year old and the salt cell is bad. The lady at Martin Pools just informed me they only warranty the purchaser and since I just bought the house they won't cover it. That is extremely disappointing and I would NEVER recommend a company that doesn't stand behind their work.

Horrible company! Hired them in Oct. 2021 and gave $1000 deposit. Contract had no start date or cancellation policy. We called in Apr. 2022 for update and still no start date. Canceled them and asked for money back. Martin stated they don't give money back and could start whenever they wanted. This could be 2 years from now and we are supposed to just wait it out? Craziness! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

Today we met Jordan to discuss building a pool, spa, screen, sun shelf, and telescoping bubbler. We brought the plan for our current pool to help show him what we like. Jordan did most of the talking, did not listen to our responses, and got frustrated when we asked him to make changes. He would quickly point to pictures on the wall, in a book, and reference the office space to explain size without truly finding out what we wanted.
If he asked a question, we would answer. When it became clear that he did not understand our answer, we clarified and redirected him. This was followed by "that's why I asked." over and over again. He told me that the things that I asked for "aren't possible". When questioned further, he explained that he was just trying to save us money.
My husband explained that he was going too fast. His response was "I'm waiting on you". We would barely speak an entire sentence before he was wearing down his eraser, rewriting with his mechanical pencil and ruler, and listing measurements that meant nothing to us. As it became clear that our needs were not the focus of the meeting, we cut it short.
He told us to "have a nice day" while tearing his drawing off of the pad of paper and crumpling it up before we were even out the door. I am grateful that we experienced their idea of customer service before spending a dime.

Stay clear of this company! Dont care about their "potential" customers or repution at all! There are better, more reputible pool companies out there then this one! Be sure to read the fineprint acd not TRUST the words from their lying a$$ lmouths! All seemed well when we met salesperson Dan Weaver. It wasnt until after contract was signed and $1000 deposit given that everything went downhill.
I asked Dan while signing contract "what if" we need to cancel since estimate for pool construction provided was at least 18 months out. He told me " as long as there was no ground broken or permits pulled there will be no issue having your $1000 deposit returned" (boldface lie!) Called office as Dan referred us to with any questions.(boldface lie) Woman referred me right back to salesperson Dan who "ghosted" us.
As we tried to get finacing, but was unable to at this time. I also found out I need major surgery and unfortunately had to put pool dreams on hold for now. Contract was signed Sept 30 (although written Sept 29 on contract. (Boldface lie) But thought no big deal. Contract notated we will be paying cash not finacing (Boldface lie) Dan was told some cash would be put down but remaining would be financed. Attempted to reach Dan over several weeks with absolutely no response.
We went back and forth with phone calls, texts & emails to Dan and office over period of 2 months. Finally last attempt I called the office to have the woman tell me she will "see what she can do to help me." Since Dan wasnt responding to any text, phone calls or anything and I am requesting a refund of my deposit. (Boldface lie) She also apologized for not responding to office emails. Claiming they are so busy returning from holidays as they were closed part of December and she probably missed them. (Boldface lie) I called back 2 days later to have her act surprised Dan still hadn't responded to be put directly on the phone, without warning, with man introducing himself as Martin who tells me, "No I will not be returning $1000 deposit as there was 3 day recession and would of had to call during that time to cancel contract." I explained this is not what his salesman Dan told us.
He insisted this is what contract says and refused my money back. Told him will be contacting a lawyer. He then yells "But its the law. you are not getting your money back! But I'll use your deposit when your ready to have pool done" F$%k you Martin Pools & Spas, if you think I will ever do business with your shady a$$ company. Your business is that hard up that your employees have to lie & scheme for $1000?
Which proves their word & your business reputition means nothing! Lawyer said way their contract is written, its worded all to their favor not "potentional" consumers. So they knew exactly what they were doing. I will still get a pool but damn sure won't be with you!

During these times of COVID and the backlog in material, Martin finished our pool and we love it. The people working at Martin care. Even during these times and the demands from customers they came through for us. Sean is a good supe who does care about the finished product. The pool business is not easy. Go into a pool build with proper expectations. In the end, you will have a nice pool.

An excellent pool company from design to completion. They actually talked us out of buying features we really didn't need. Who does that? We had a warranty issue and they came out immediately to address. Finished project on time. Built an awesome pool! Services: General repairs & maintenance, Design, General construction

Very unsatisfied with finished pool. Hot tub light looks like a toddler installed with play-doh. Water does not drain in one area of concrete but pools and floods. Did not install one jet in pool so water does not circulate around pool properly for cleaning. Would NEVER use this company. Worst part of the process is when pool was finished the owner told my husband that "we learned a lot doing your pool." Appalling and not what anyone wants to hear when it costs so much!

Martin Pools was quick to make sure we set up a meeting to discuss pool installation. Met with Wendy to go over designs and for her to assess our yard and everything looked good. Asked her (during our meeting) what our next step was and it was to wait for her to get back with us on her design. This was in late October, before the elections because I had just come back from early voting.
She said she would have a design for us sometime in the next week and if we liked it, we could go ahead and start the process with the initial down payment. We were excited because we felt we were getting in at the right time, the pool would be finished in May/June time frame and perfect for Summer! We didn't think much of it because the meeting went so well.
As time went by and we never heard back from Wendy, after a few weeks, I sent her an email to see where we were with the design. Crickets. A few more weeks and she finally got back with us with an excuse and asked if "We still were interested?". Well, we were, so she said she would have the design that week. Nothing. Sent another email to her asking if she had anything and all I got back was, "Sounds good." Needless to say, I'm not in the habit of begging people to let me spend my money with them.
So for her lack of professionalism and Martin's inability to effectively get back with us on "allowing" us to purchase a pool from them, we will be taking our business elsewhere. I would suggest to Martin that they allow future customers to CC them when communicating with Wendy or any of their designers or sales people because she lost our business and earned the company a bad reputation.
I will NOT be recommending them to anyone new moving into the area. ZERO! Avoid at all cost! They will set any schedule you have back much further than you think and not care enough to even communicate with you that they have. I would give negative stars if Google would allow me.

Martin Pools just finished my dream pool oval in shape 3+half feet at each end and 5 feet in the center. They used the best contractor's and the perfection from start to finish was really something to see. If any other person decides to get a pool it would be to their advantage to use Martin's. They went over and beyond to do my pool everything was done so perfect.
They planned each step and fussing with every nook and corner. If you have to wait for them to install your pool you wouldn't be disappointed for the quality and workmanship. My husband and I were very amazed for the work they did and yes it did take some time to build it (approx 3 months) but our pool is built better than any home and pool combined.
We watched the entire building of our pool and I would tell anyone that is reading this post to only use Martin's. If you have to wait it would be the best choice for yourselfs and the best quality for the pool and Screened room we have done. I really can't say more ( I guess I could) but if you want a Pool only use Martin's. I have seen 3 other Pools in my neighborhood and talked to the homeowners and when they saw mine they were very amazed at the detail that they did for us.
So if you want a perfect and the best pool only use Martin's Pools it is worth the money and the waiting other than any pool company in Florida. I am still in a "wow" state of mind. And I believe you would be to.

Major MISTAKE using Martin Pools! We had 3 major issues with this company and could never get anyone to return a call, email or text. The concrete decking cracked within hours of the pour, we upgraded to better pool finish, only to have large stain (see photo) and company removed our fill so we didn't have enough fill come time for completion and we had to pay for additional dirt.
Once final inspection was completed, we finally received a letter stating that the last $500 should take care of the above. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. This company's integrity is HORRID! When a company hires subcontractors and they make errors, it should not be the customer whom bears the financial fix to correct. We paid for a Cadillac pool and received an Escort!

We called Martin Pools to get a quote on a new pool. They scheduled an appointment for a week out. The woman showed up and was very pleasant and honest with us with questions and what she thought we would or need to have for equipment. She said it would take a week to get the quote. After ten days I emailed her for an update. A few days later I get a response that says she is a little behind and will have it soon.
Then a few days later I get an email asking if "we still wanted her to do it"? We didn't ask her to stop and had been in contact with her via those emails confirming she was "on it'. She said she would have something for us in a few days. Three days later she emails us and says that she is just too busy and has too many things on her plate and wished us luck on our pool. Wow.
I guess the pool companies are so busy picking up their bags of money that they don't even have time to quote all of them. We waited three weeks on this "last quote" to compare which company we wanted to go with out of three. I wish she would have just told us up front that they are too busy. Really weird. I would not recommend you let Martin Pools waste your time like they did hours.

Unfortunately a waste of time. After a meeting with a sales representative, and a written quote, calls to begin the project were not returned in a timely manner. When I called, the office manager didn't even recognize the last name of the man listed on the business card. I would expect a sales professional to be educated enough about pool construction to know, when they are onsite, if a project is within their capabilities as a company to handle. We have lived and worked in this area for over 30 years and have dealt with many companies over the years. We feel lucky we didn't sign a contract with this one!

The 2nd best decision I ever made was using Martin Pools to build my dream pool in the backyard. Who would have thought that making the pool the lowest point in the backyard would be such a brilliant idea? The best decision I've ever made was to decide to have that same pool removed as the yard floods into my pool area every year since.

Our dream became a reality! Thanks to Jordon and the staff at Martin Pools we have the nicest pool in Palm Bay Florida. We designed everything. we got the biggest pool we could stuff into our little yard space and it is awesome. They did everything they said they would with no hidden charges or surprises. We remain amazed and grateful that we used Martin Pools. Finished on time on budget and transformed our little new home into an oasis of peace and comfort. I highly recommend Martin Pools.
